chapter eight :: twenty | one | pilots and tree høuses

I'm still trying to establish a time for this but as of right now, it's November of 2012 and Nicole started at the school in the beginning of October and regional at best is in works so just remember that. The time in my stories usually go quick so I'm sorry that's just how I write.

The week dragged on for both Josh and Nicole.

Nicole couldn't wait to hear Josh play and Josh couldn't wait to play for Nicole.

But it was finally Friday and Josh thought, thank god it's Friday.

"I should put that in a song" he whispered to himself at lunch. Nicole gave him a strange look.

Nicole kinda took Ashley's spot. She hasn't shown up to lunch since earlier that week when Josh rejected her. But Nicole was okay with that. She got sit right next to Josh without being yelled out or called out as Josh's girlfriend.

Although she wouldn't mind that.

After lunch, they went to Global Studies. That class went by pretty quick because Josh sat next to Nicole that day. Before they were able to leave, their teacher, Mr. Collic, called Nicole back.

"We need to talk about your grades" He said.

Josh decided he would wait for her in the doorway, seeing as he wanted to walk her home.

"You have never said a word in this class. You would have an A if you actually volunteered" he said.

Nicole heard this a lot but she usually just ignored it until it went away.

"So for now, until you start actually raising your hand and try, you're grade is just going to keep falling" he said.

Josh sighed and walked up to his desk.

"If her written work is okay, why punish her for not saying anything?" He said.

"Excuse me?" Mr. Collic said.

"Her written work and notes are great and she finishes everything she gets. I've seen it. Do you know how hard it could be for her to raise her hand and say something?" Josh reasoned.

Nicole shook her head at him.

"It's ridiculous to even make participation a grade if she knows everything she needs to know to pass" Josh kept going.

"Both of you out" Mr. Collic ordered.

"Come on Nic" Josh said. And with that, they left.

"You didn't have to do that Josh" Nicole told him. "I'm used to it"

"Well he can catch these hands" Josh held up his fists. Nicole thought this was one of the cutest things he's done with her.

"Stop threatening to fight teachers" Nicole whined.

"Fine. But only for you" He said. Nicole looked down and blushed. She liked Josh so much but she knew he didn't like her back.

"So what time do I have to be at your house tonight?" She asked.

"After five. Because that's when my parents are leaving. They are staying a town over for the weekend for some work thing"

"Oh Josh is being a little rebel now" Nicole joked.

"They won't let us play because of the noise so as long as their gone, were good. There is only like six other people going" he said.

"Good. I hate big crowds" She said.

"Unless it's a fall out boy concert, which I have yet to attend"

"Yeah it sucks that they broke up. I saw them on their last tour. I cried and maybe peed my pants a little"
