this is a sequel to the first dtk thing i did. just a short smol drabble.
also i still find that "fallen for you" line funny//
Kid knelt down, placing two flowers onto the ground.
There was a white tulip, meant for forgiveness for the past. Beside it lie a white carnation, for rememberance of a friend. Unseen, lie a red rose, meant for undying love and passion.
The son of Death buried his face in his hands and tried to stop his tears. It only worsened how he felt and he sobbed harder and harder, not caring if anyone heard or saw him.
It had been a few years, but that didn't erase how bad he felt. It just got worse and worse every time that one day passed, as the same scene would play in his ears— the entire day relived in his dreams.
"...falling in love with..."
"...say 'I love you' with my last breath..."
"...finally prove I've fallen for you..."
The chair clattering to the floor...the sound of breaking bones...silence...
...and then crying. Crying, sobbing...screaming...
Kid sobbed harder, and started whispering quiet apologies.
He looked up at the gravestone in front of him, reading it for...damn, what time was it...?
Kid sobbed again before reburying his face in his hands.
