"EJ, what's up?"
Jack turned towards the female who called him. He frowned under his mask.
Why does it have to be her? Haven't I told her to stay away?
"I'm busy." The answer was short, simple, and blunt.
"You don't look busy." She wasn't that easily fooled, though.
When did she get so smart? "But I am."
"What're you so busy with?"
A sigh slipped through Jack's mouth. "I'm busy with trying to ignore you."
A hurt look crossed _____'s face. Jack didn't see the look; he was trying to ignore her, after all.
"I'm sorry for bothering you, then..." she whispered.
Jack looked up just as _____ turned. He caught a glimmer of...something on her cheek. It was clear...and, sort of in a line.
Is she crying? He blinked. Slender's gonna be at me unless I manage to do something...
Jack slapped himself in his head before dashing after _____, catching her right before she walked into the Mansion.
"Hey, hey. Don't...don't do that." He had no comforting skills whatsoever unless it came to guys.
"Don't do what? Aren't you still busy trying to ignore me?" _____ sniffled.
Jack sighed. "I'm trying to ignore you because I hate that I love you. Okay? That's the only reason."
He watched her eyes light up, though the tears kept running.
"Jack...d-do you really?" she stuttered. He nodded, a blush forming under his mask.
_____ giggled before reaching up to his mask. Jack grabbed her wrist, panic rising inside of him. "Don't worry..." she whispered, using her other hand to lift his mask up enough to place her lips over his.
Jack melted into the kiss, wrapping his free arm around _____'s waist while he moved his wrist-holding hand to intwine his and her fingers.
