note: semi-au?
Vash the Stampede. The Humanoid Typhoon. A master gunman.
To you, he was known as "friend." To him, you were known as "that one really cute girl who would play along if he started flirting."
Either way, it helped you hide your crush on him. Which was really good- falling for a typhoon is worse than being caught by a, y'know, not-troublemaker.
Or someone who didn't have sixty-billion double-dollars on his head. If anyone asked if you knew the infamous Stampede, you'd just say, "Yeah, I know 'im." Then you would simply walk away, spinning your (fake) gun on your hand. (Though, no one knew that it was fake.)
Fast-forwarding to this moment in time, you were caught up in a bank robbery. Of course, though, you were one of the hostages (and you were trying to keep the others calm, promising that help was on the way).
"What do you want with us?" you asked, standing up. You pulled out both of your guns- identical in shape, size, and everything. Except what they shoot.
"Get back down! Why's she up?!" the man turned to his goons, giving them a glare. You took a quick side-step when one shot at you. The bullet made a small hole in the wall.
"Hey, Vash! Where are you?!" you yelled loudly. In all honesty, the Human Typhoon should had been there by now- he probably got caught up with some pretty girl or whatever.
A scream ripped through your throat as the goons grabbed you in a less-than-appropriate way. "Let go!" you screeched.
There was a loud bang! and everything seemed to freeze- except you. As quickly as possible, you were away from the guys, holding the real gun pointed at them.
"It took you long enough, stupid fucker!" you shouted at the blonde male who appeared out of the dust.
"Sorry, _____! I forgot where the bank was!" Vash replied, letting his laughter fill the air.
"Idiot! You know what could've happened if I couldn't've screamed?!" You honestly didn't know what it was, but having something taken from you without your consent was out of every question.
Vash turned serious instantly. "We'll talk about it later." He turned to the men, frowning. "Why are you doing this?" You couldn't help the tiny blush that spread across your cheeks- god, Vash was so appealing when he was serious!
You faced the men, forcing the tint off of your cheeks.
-fight scene here cause im terrible at writing them/first time writing for Vash!!!-
They all ended up alive- as people who Vash fought usually did (unless someone or thing else killed them). The leader had his arm blown off (thank you, reader, for always hiding an expandable gun...thing). Goons one and two were shot in the shoulder and knee respectively.
And, of course, you and Vash had to dash because, even though you two saved their lives, Vash had a large bounty on him, and killing you (since, of course, you were his friend) would still get them all enough.
"So, about earlier..." Vash panted. He swallowed, letting his childishness slip away. "I know what could've happened. I'm sorry I wasn't there sooner; I had...business to take care of."
"What kind of business, Vash?" you asked, crossing your arms over your chest. "You know that I don't like things being taken from me."
Vash smiled, pulling you close by wrapping an arm around your waist. Your cheeks started to burn. "What if I was allowed to?" he asked, voice low and...oddly enchanting.
The pink turned red, and you let your eyelids lower slightly. Vash's cheeks were lighter than your's were. "I'd be okay with that," you replied quietly.
You leaned up as Vash leaned down, and the both of you were lip-locked for who cares how long.
Vash giggled when you pulled away. "I'm so glad that I have a pretty girl of my own!" A sigh slipped from his lips. "But then your bounty will be raised higher..."
"If people find out," you replied, grinning. Vash's eyes lit up as he pulled you into another kiss.
God, you thought, I think this might be the beginning to a really beautiful relationship.
