You were a normal kid. You had normal friends at your normal school in your normal town.
Then, of course, your father got an abnormal job in an abnormal town, so you had to leave your normal friends and your normal school and your normal town to go to an abnormal school and an abnormal town and make abnormal friends.
And what's worse is that it was different, and you didn't like different.
So, of course, when you met a tall-ish male with long legs and orange hair, you stuck close to him. Sure, his height wasn't normal (as in your town normal), but he acted like your normal friends.
And his name was Darwin. That was a normal name.
His brother, though... His brother was completely abnormal. Always got into trouble somehow, blue hair, crazy short, weird name, always just...abnormal. You didn't like him.

"Hey, I think your girlfriend doesn't like me." Darwin's cheeks turned bright red as he locked his wide eyes on Gumball.
"We-we're not dating!"
"As much as you two hang around each other you might as well b-"
"Gumball!" Darwin's voice cracked.
"Alright, alright." The blue-haired male laughed. "Oh, looky there! Here comes _____! See ya later, buddy!" And with that, he ran off.
Darwin swallowed the saliva in his throat as he turned to his best female friend. He didn't understand why he was nervous, or when he started getting nervous, or why he was blushing and thoughts of holding the girl and kissing her and loving her were jus-
