Demon seemed to ponder his options.

He'd already revealed himself to Tray, and Henry knew that he existed, in demon form at least.

Will was going to get involved at some point, and by the looks of it, he was leaning toward the crazy side that Tray and Henry had seemingly taken a liking to.

Why couldn't Demon just speed up the process a bit?

It would help, considering that it was best he knew now, instead of later.

Demon didn't want the kid to have a heart attack, but sooner was better than never.

He'd made up his mind.

It was time to find Will.

Will wondered around the forest his house was located near.

The trees swayed in the wind and they were beginning to bare, the signs of winter approaching.

He pulled his coat tighter around his frame, the cold seeping through the open spots in his jacket.

His breath was noticeable, just barely, as Will breathed deeper each time he took a step deeper into the woods he'd never acknowledged.

Until now.

Why now? He didn't have the slightest idea, but something drew him to the depths beyond the trees, beyond what he was seeing at that point. Everything about the forest seemed so alluring and enchanting now.

He could hear birds and squirrels. His footsteps were heard as well, the fallen leaves and stiff, slightly frozen grass underneath him making just as much noise as the small animals.

Then suddenly, the sounds stopped.

Will stiffened, but kept walking, muscles tense. He passed it off as paranoia.

As he traveled a few more feet, he realized that he couldn't hear his footsteps anymore. He couldn't hear anything, anymore.

He stopped and froze, his breath suddenly becoming more noticeable and the air turning colder.

Shivers racked his arms, spine, and legs. Nervousness swept through his soul as he felt a pair of unseen eyes stalking him.

His coat, suddenly, didn't seem as warm anymore.

He quickly surveyed his surroundings for any signs of danger, but found none.

He still couldn't hear anything, the air was still freezing, and his breath was still coming out in clouds.

Nothing else seemed out of place, but a dark, dangerous aura was still felt looming around him, above him, beneath him, and even hiding in the depths of the shadows.

"What the hell?" He muttered, discomfort obvious in his tone and body language.

His surroundings turned grey, the color seeping out of them, fading away like water dumped onto a recently painted picture.

He felt like he was in a silent movie. No sound could be heard, no color detected or seen.

He wondered briefly, if it was a dream, a dream he could wake up from, but it felt too real.

Way too real.

"Who's there?" He shouted, his tone fearful and desperate.

Will was surprised when he could hear his own voice. At least one thing was normal.

"How are you doing this?" Will shouted again, desperate to know the type of dark arts or tricks needed to complete fear and illusions such as what he was witnessing.

Green dust appeared in front of him and took the form of a dog.

The demon dog.

It was just like Henry and Tray had described him.

Skeleton, glowing green, edges blurred, radioactive like eyes with no pupils or whites.

The demon stared at Will, as if waiting for him to respond without screaming or fainting.

"What-What do you want? Why are you doing this?" Will stuttered, terrified of the powerful, inhuman being he was being faced with.

Confusion.

When the emotion washed over him, Will panicked, gasping and clutching the fabric over where his heart was placed.

"He can't talk, per-say. He can only transfer emotions to another person. It's how he communicates, I guess." Will remembered Henry's words.

This demon was trying to talk to him, and Will didn't have much of a choice to reply if he wanted out of the situation sooner.

"Why are you doing," Will gestured to the grey world and stomped his foot, showing him that there was no sound. "This?"

The dog blinked and seemed to sigh, shaking its head with what looked like, annoyance.

Disbelieving.

"What?" Will asked, hurt. "What's that supposed to mean?"

The demon growled, but it sounded as if it was directed to the demon himself, rather than at Will, much to his relief.

Demon wanted to pound his skull into a tree.

Why were humans so ignorant?

'Why is it that demons seem to grasp the concept of more complex situations and problems more than the, sadly, dominate species of the world?' Demon thought, mentally bashing his head into a concrete sidewalk.

Demon sent a wave of emotions toward the boy, trying once again, to communicate in the most specific way possible.

Annoyance. Exasperated. Concentration.

Will furrowed his eyebrows. "Uh, do you want me to focus on the task at hand?" He asked, guessing that Demon wanted nothing more than to get into more important topics, rather than the fact that the world looked and sounded like a black and white, muted movie.

Demon nodded his head, glad the kid had gotten the right idea.

Luckily, it seemed that each boy had warmed up to Demon quickly, and thankfully, that included Will, as well.

"What do you want?" Will tried again, repeating his previous question.

Demon cocked his head and seemed to wonder how to answer the boy's question.

Denial. Empty.

Will blinked, confused. "Denial of what? My question?"

Demon whined, in what sounded like despair to Will, and shook his head.

"Then what?" Will asked, urging the demon to continue his emotional messages.

Empty. Undecided.

"Wait, did you just appear before me and scare me to death because you wanted me to know you were real?" Will eyes widened even more as each word passed his lips.

Demon smiled smugly, and nodded.

"What?! Are you even kidding m-!" But Will never got to finish his sentence.

Will watched as the demon turned back to green dust and was swept away by an invisible breeze.

The sound slowly faded back and color dripped back to the world, once again.

Will watched as it did so, and realized he wouldn't be seeing the demon dog again anytime soon.

He turned around and ran back to the safety of his home.

The woods he lived by didn't seem so alluring and enchanting anymore.

Hope you like this one! Just a slight filler for now! I thought Will should now come into play a little more and it was unfair to leave him out of the loop. See you in my next chapter! Bye my doggies!
