Miss Mona began to get even more worried as she stared at the unconscious demon girl in her bed. Demon was also out cold.

She had dismissed Kailee from school and called up her friends' parents in hopes of letting the boys visit.

Luckily, the mothers were happy enough to let their boys visit.

Tray, Henry, Will, and their moms quietly walked into the room to see Kailee, pale and sick, Demon curled beside her, not looking too much better.

"What kind of sickness does she have?" Ms. Lock asked.

"I'm not sure. She's been...distant lately." Miss Mona sighed.

"She hasn't visited any of us since the day in the hospital." Will informed them.

Suddenly, Demon whimpered and Kailee coughed.

Demon's eyes were the first to flutter open, then go wide when he saw all of them standing there.

Kailee came soon after, coughing little by little as she cracked her eyes open. Her reaction wasn't as surprised as Demon's, just more worried.

"What are you doing here? You should be home, where your safe." Kailee said, worried, but her voice was weak and croaky.

Tray sat on the edge of her bed and frowned. "What's wrong, Kay?"

Kailee was surprised that he could talk again. "You can talk..."

"Yeah. I got my voice back a week ago." Tray told her, but his voice held no anger toward her for not knowing because she didn't visit. "Why haven't you visited? How long have you known you've been sick? Demon too!"

"We're not sick, Tray," Kailee closed her eyes. "So quit saying we are."

"Your conditions don't quit agree with you." Mrs. Ifle, Will's mom, countered.

"Tray," Kailee opened her grey orbs and stared at him. "Do remember what I told you all those months ago?"

"No. What?" He asked.

Kailee repeated the exact thing she'd said to Tray so long ago, not caring about the adults in the room.

"The Demon's Orb. It controls demons and while under the spell, slowly kills the demon from inside out. I thought it was a myth."

Tray's eyes widen slowly as Henry and Will finally get the idea of the situation. Miss Mona gets it too, but the mothers are in the dark.

"What's that mean?" Mrs. Jackson asked. "What's that have to do with anything?"

The other mothers wondered the same, but everyone ignored her question.

"Kailee... Demon..." Henry whispered in horror. "No..."

"I'm sorry." She smiled sadly in her weak voice. "I didn't want you to know. Look what happened to you because I put all of this on your shoulders. This would have just set you farther back. It was better if I didn't visit. It would have saved you a lot of pain later on."

"You should have told us. We could have helped you guys!" Will cried.

"Kailee, why? Both of you need help." Miss Mona started to cry.

"Help? From who? This isn't just some normal sickness, guys. The only one who needs help is you if you think you can help us now." Kailee frowned.

"What's going on? What do you mean?" Mrs. Ifle demanded answers.

"It's nothing, mom-" Will was cut off by Kailee.

"It is something. It's about time you knew." Kailee chuckled, then coughed. "It doesn't matter anymore, considering Demon and I are dying."

"Dying!?" Ms. Lock shrieked.

"Yes." Kailee answered. "Slowly and painfully. We don't have much time left."

"I still don't understand." Mrs. Jackson said. "It's doesn't explain the Demon Orb thing you talked about."

"But it does." Kailee answered. "The injuries your sons have were not inflicted by my mother. They were inflicted by me. I tore Tray's neck out, Demon broke Will's arm and Henry's leg. Because my mother used the Demon Orb to bend us to her will."

"The orb's use slowly killed us while we were in its influence, but we were taken out of it sooner, so now we die out of its control."

"I guess the best explanation is to say that Demon and I, are well, demons." Kailee shrugged and finished.

"That's how you're going to go? Make up some fake story about how you got sick? How you're dying?" Ms. Lock glared.

"I'm not lying." Kailee answered and before anyone could blink, Demon and Kailee were in demon form.

Kailee coughed again and blood splashed onto her hand. "Look at that," Kailee laughed sickly. "Blood. I guess going into our demon forms sped up the process."

"Well, then change back!" Henry panicked.

Kailee and Demon did so, and Kailee smiled as Demon finally went back to sleep. "I'm tired. I'm going back to sleep. Just so you know, you guys shouldn't have come."

As Kailee fell back to sleep, the mothers stood there, shock and fear settled into their features.

"We'll explain. Come on. Let's leave them to rest." Miss Mona suggested and all of them quietly left the room.

After a lengthy explanation, the mothers couldn't believe it.

"So, your saying you've been hanging out with a girl that could kill you in two seconds flat?" Ms. Jackson  asked.

"It's not like that." Will huffed. "Yeah," Tray said. "Kailee's not just a demon, she's also human. Have some faith in her."

"It's just a lot to process." Mrs. Ifle sighed.

"I know. We had to process a lot, too, at first." Will smiled and looked back up the stairs.

'We'll help you. Both of you. Count on it.'

Hope you like! It's a little shorter than usual, but it's just a filler! Bye my doggies!
