So sorry for the delay! On with the chapter!
Mabel seemed to have an idea, as her smile brightened. "I have an idea! Let's ask Ford!"
Dipper frowned. "That might not be the best idea. Ford is very...well, you know, about people knowing about what he does."
"It's not like they aren't involved, anyway." Mabel shrugged. "It can't be that bad if they already know. I mean, come on. They're friends with two demons."
"A demon and a half-demon." Tray cut in.
"Yeah, what he said." Mabel said, but didn't even glance towards Tray.
"Fine." The boy sighed, giving in to his sister's delusional thinking. He knew his sister's idea wouldn't be appreciated by their uncle, but she did have somewhat of a point. The three boys were already involved. It's not like they were taking random people down to the lab and talking about monsters.
"Let's go. Since there aren't any people in the shop right now, we have a better chance of catching Ford, since he's always locked down in the basement." Mabel laughed.
"Okay. We better hurry, since my friends and I don't have much time." Henry agreed, already up and on his feet.
Tray and Will followed, Mabel and Dipper scurrying down the steps trying to catch up, Wendy right behind.

"Uncle Ford? Are you down here?" Dipper called.
"Dipper? What are you doing down here at this hour?" A voice called.
A man came around the corner of a machine. He had a lab coat that was a light brown with a red sweater underneath. He had six fingers on each hand and grey hair, a bit of white, too. He wore a big pair of glasses.
When he saw Henry, Tray, and Will, he froze. "Dipper, what is-" Will cut the man off.
"Sir," he began and stepped forward. "We need your help. Our friends, they're dying and we can't do anything. Not by ourselves. Dipper and Mabel say you might be able to help."
Ford didn't have time to answer as Tray spoke. "You don't need to worry about us spilling anything. We already know about all of the supernatural crap going on around here. We have a bit of a infestation back home." A small amused smile was followed by this.
Ford took a deep breath and slowly breathed out. He sat down at a desk, and faced the kids on the other side of it. "Dipper, Mabel, you both are in big trouble for this." He paused. "But I guess I can make an exception." Ford turned to the three boys. "What exactly do you need me to do?"
"First, we need to explain ourselves." Henry started. "I'm Henry." Henry pointed to Tray and Will. "That's Tray and Will. Our friends are demons, and they're dying because of something called the Demon Orb."

After the boy's explanation on how the demon girl's mother kidnapped them and then her dog and she got controlled, Ford blinked. "Okay. I guess that explains to me why you came here for Dipper's help." Ford sighed. "But there are gaps in your story. There's something you're not telling me."
The boys froze, fear in their eyes as they realized they'd been caught.
"Wait!" Wendy cried. "Are you saying that they were lying!?"
"No." Ford denied. "That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that they left out details. Details that could be important."
"Look, sir." Tray tried. "It's just, if we told you, there's a good chance you won't help us." Tray paused and realized that didn't sound very comforting. "I mean, our intentions are anything but evil, I promise. It's just that if we tell you the details, helping Kailee and her dog, Demon will be even more stressful and complicated."
"Kid, I know you mean well, but you have to understand, every detail is important if we ever have any chance at saving your friends." Ford explained and rubbed the bridge of his nose. "I'm not going to say that I'll still help you. I'm not going to say that after you tell me, I won't be hesitant because I have no idea what the details are. At this point though, you've been desperate enough to run away, hitchhike with a person who you don't know, reveal your demon friends' delicate secret, and willingly go into a spooky basement that looks like people are experimented on in. If we are your last hope, telling me isn't going to be that big of a deal. I will either help you or I won't. Telling me the details you left out before won't be such a big deal right now."
The boys blinked as they realized this. "Okay." Tray spoke first. "But I need to say one thing first."
"Go ahead." Ford offered.
"Kailee and Demon are the best people, and dog, I know. They have a hard past and they will never be completely innocent, but they are my friends, and they always will be. They saved me. They saved Henry and Will. They did that, giving up their own lives in the process. That's why we're here. To save them just like they saved us. If you don't agree to help us, that's fine, but you will not go hunting Kailee and Demon down when they have enough on their plates they have to deal with just because they have something they never wanted. Do. You. Understand?" Tray asked, his tone dangerous and testing the scientist to disagree.
"I understand." Ford nodded.
"Good." Tray shortly replied. "The details are very simple. Kailee and Demon have a curse. A demon curse. It is 99.99% possible they are the only demons who have the curse. It is the curse where they can not live with just eating normal food. They need something else every two weeks. Something a bit more...filling. What they need to survive, is souls. Live, human souls in which they suck out of a person and consume. To put it simply, they are forced to take lives to keep theirs."
Wendy, Dipper, and Mabel's breath hitched at this news while Ford looked appalled.
"It's likely," Henry cut in. "That you don't want to save them anymore. But please, think about it."
Ford remembers what the blonde boy had said.
"Kailee and Demon are the best people, and dog, I know. They have a hard past and they will never be completely innocent, but they are my friends, and they always will be. They saved me. They saved Henry and Will. They did that, giving up their own lives in the process."
Ford made up his mind. "I'm still going to help you. And you're in luck, I suppose."
"Why is that?" Will questioned.
"I'm pretty sure I have the thing you need to save your friends." Ford smiled.
"You do!?" Henry exclaimed, excited at the words.
"Yes, but there's one problem." Ford frowned. "They would need to be here. I can't do it anywhere but here."
"Then we'll bring them here." Tray slammed his fist on the desk in between himself and Ford. The table shook from the sheer force. "And we'll save them. Kailee and Demon will live. I'm going to make sure of that."
Oh, cliffhanger! Sorry for the delay, I repeat. I hope you enjoy this chapter. Bye my doggies!
