Chapter 97- Special Delivery

Kota POV

We all went back to our rooms, packed, checked out, and headed to the party bus out front. On the ride back to Uncles, we discussed what our favorite part about yesterday was when Owen received a call from Marc asking us to help him with a remodel he is doing on a country estate.

We agreed we would help him to give us something to do since we are still on a break from missions. He gave us the address and said to meet him out there Monday at 10 am.

As we arrived at Uncle's place, I see Corey sitting on the front steps tapping on his phone screen. Not sure what he is doing here, I braced myself for what was coming as Owen, Sean and I step off the party bus.

"Hi Guys. Sorry to interrupt your day. I have something for Victor." Corey said as he stood and placed his phone in his pocket.

"What is it Corey?" asked Victor as he approached.

"Emily asked me to bring this to you." Smiling, Corey handed Victor a legal size envelope.

"What is it?" I questioned.

"Something she has just for Victor and a surprise for the rest of you." he says on a laugh.

"What's in here Corey?" asked Victor.

"Something I hope you appreciate. Have a good weekend and see you Monday." he calls over his shoulder as he walked back to his car and drove off sending up a cloud of dust.

"Well shit, that does not help any." Gabe grumbled.

"Well, I can't wait to see what it is. Let's get inside." stated Sean he followed Gabe and Nathan towards the house.

As I entered and set my bag down by the door, Luke and North head toward the kitchen. "Si, can you come help?" yells North.  Si rose and followed them.

"Yes!" Luke yelled followed by a slap then a mumbled "Ouch." We all start laughing when North came out with a tub filled with ice and clear bottles labeled water, soda and tea. Si followed him out with a long platter and Luke came last with two small trays, one in each hand.

"Emily left us a note welcoming us back. Enjoy these refreshments before you head home. She brought over sweet tea, fruit on a skewer with a peanut butter dip, a veggie tray, and a sweet tray with brownie batter dip." exclaimed Luke.

"Oy! Yes! She has me addicted to her sweet tea," exclaimed Gabe as he made a beeline for the sweet tea just as North took a bottle. I am totally shocked to see North open it and take a large mouthful.  A flash snapped me out of my stunned state. I see Luke grinning as he placed his camera in his back pocket.

"Luke!" yelled North.  

Before he could move, Gabe started laughing and stuttered out while pointing at North, "You are drinking sweet tea. Sweet tea. I have never seen you drink it before."

"Quick, someone mark this day down on the calendar." called Vic, as he looked around frantically for something to write with.

"What? I never said I did not like it. Fuck. Alright, I like it. I just don't have to drink it all the time." North said as he took another mouthful and walked over to the couch to sit down.

Luke took out his phone and snapped a picture of him lounging on the couch with a bottle of Emily's tea. North growled at Luke as everyone phones rang. We start laughing as we all know it's the picture Luke just took. "Quit staring at me and get your snacks so we can start this family meeting." he yelled and waved toward the table.

Once everyone had their drink and snack, Owen cell phone rang. He excused himself and we sat and talked until he got back. Ten minutes later, Owen comes back in and said we would have to place our family meeting on hold; we had been requested for a mission that was quick and high priority and must be finished by tomorrow.

Sean received a call from the Hospital and he was needed for an emergency. Owen told Sean to take his car and Victor said he would take him home. Sean took his tea and his snacks yelling to have fun as he walked out the door heading to the hospital. As Owen talks about the mission, I am thankful we put the family meeting on hold. I needed a while to get my thoughts and feelings about Emily together before we have this discussion.
