Annie Pov

"Alright Emily. Now that we are alone, tell me what really happened, and start from the beginning." I say, as I lay her garment bag across the bed.

Emily flops on the bed and tells me what happened since she spent first night at Owen's right up until dinner tonight.

I feel like slapping all of them upside the back of their heads. Shaking my head at kids nowadays I sit down next to her on the bed. I place a hand on her knee and start a long overdue talk.

"Honey, I don't know why the morons treated you that way or ignored you, and I am sorry they did. You have been through a lot in your life, and having to relive it again must be incredibly hard.

However, you can't throw a tantrum because your feelings are hurt, and your plans don't go the way you wanted them to."

"I know, but I am scared they will not want me or worse. So, I pushed them away. I hurt, Annie. Here in my heart." Emily says, pushing her fist against a heart that has so much love to share.

"Emily sweetheart, you have to remember that they have been through a lot as well. They've all been in love before and lost that love, and they have to grieve at their own pace. Some of them maybe ready, but others may not."

"If you love them and want to be with them, then you must give them the time and space they need to grieve and decide what they want to do. If they are not ready to move on, then you have to be strong enough to move on without them."

"I know. They have my heart. I just don't want to move on without them, and I'm not sure I know how."

I know you don't. But, love has to be given freely. It can't be forced. Let's just hope they make the right choice. I think they're as confused as you right now. Give them time. They're some of the smartest people I know, even if it doesn't seem like it. They'll figure it out. Now let's get you ready. You just need to give them some extra motivation. Go take a shower and clean up while I get everything set up."

"Thanks Annie. You have always been a mentor and inspiration to me. I would not be here if it was not for you." she tells me, as she hugs me tight.

"Right back at you baby. Now let's show them what you got."

"Yes, let's show them what I've got. I can't wait to see Victor's expression and reaction."

Laughing she got up, took her iPod out her purse and headed to the bathroom. Nodding thoughtfully to myself I rose, smoothed out her garment bag and hung it on the door. Taking out her performance dress I smile. I know she will knock them out with this outfit I think to myself, as I find everything we need to knock some sense into those dunderheads.

Victor Pov

"Do you see her, Vic?"

"No, I don't see her."

"Shit, I know she said she will be here. I can't believe we have been here for 45 fucking minutes and I still can't find her. You don't think she be a no show, do you?"

"She loves Dr. Roberts and Annie. They are like parents to her. She will be here for them, Gabe. She would never let them down."

"If her assimilation skills are this good, she is going to be hard to find. Here, I just steamed the wrinkles out of your jacket so it's ready. Sorry. It slipped my mind."
