Chapter 46-Running Late

Alec texted Mr. B to let us know Emily and her friends had arrived at The Regal. He did a sweep and it is secure and is keeping an eye on Emily and her friends. He said she went on the tour of the club with the owners for her work already and they are done with the work aspect for tonight. She was asking where we were and kept looking for us until her girlfriends took her to the bar so she could calm down. She has stopped looking for us and is currently talking and hanging with her friends. I bet she thinks we are not coming.

"How much longer Gabe? We are ready to go." bellows North.

"Give me another minute. I don't like how this shirt looks on him." yells Gabe.

"You have one minute and then we are leaving you and Doc behind!" says Kota "We need to get going. We are already late and I don't like being late."

I just shake my head. Gabe is so particular on how we look. Sometimes it's great. Other times, like now, it's aggravating.

"Do you guys think she thinks we're are not coming or forgot about her?" asked Silas.

"No, Mr. Korba. Alec advised her we were delayed and will be there soon." Mr. B replied as he looks at his phone.

"Well, I can't wait to see Puff Puff. We have been so busy at the diner, we have not had a change to talk to her or see her all week" I say as Luke and Si nod their agreement.

"I am just glad that assignment is over. That one was tough." says Victor as North and Kota say they agree with him.

"I missed her this week, and can't wait to see how she looks." says Sean as he walks into the room.

"Or not wearing" smirks Luke as Si turns and gives him a high five. Horny Greek.

"There just better not be anyone trying to flirt with her or harass her." states North as he crosses his arms.

"All I know I had a great week with her and you guys better be nice to her. She had a busy and shitty week and today was awful. She needs tonight with her friends." says Gabe as he walks in the room.

"Finally we can go and I can see Emily. I have been without my sugar this week and I am over due for some....." says Luke

"Explain Mr Coleman!" states Mr. B, cutting off Luke.

"Just that Mr. Blackbourne. She has had a shitty week of people being a pain in the ass, demanding things that are unreasonable, working out transportation and set up for the training next week. She has been looking over her shoulder for Damien consistently, and having nightmares about him. She also has been worried about you guys. No matter what I said, she said she will feel better once she sees everyone. Reminds me of Trouble." Gabe replied.

"We will discuss this later. For now gentlemen, let go." Mr. B stated.

I think about what Gabe said as we head outside. Mr. B and Doc toss their overnight bags in their trunk since they are spending the night with her tonight. I get in the back seat of Victor's car as Kota gets in the passenger side. Mr. B and Doc are in the car in front of us and North and the rest of the guys are in North's Jeep as we head to the club.

There is something about her that calls to me and makes me want to spend time getting to know her. I know Luke and Si feel the same way, because we talked about it this week. I can't wait to talk to her more and get to know her better. I know she is funny and I hope to hold her to watching a scary movie with me. I just don't know why a part of me feels like I am cheating on Peanut.

I push those thoughts to the back of my mind as I see the club on the right side of the street. It looks nice and the lineup is wrapped around the front and starting to wrap around the side of the building. I am so thankful Victor was able to get us in tonight. We pull into the underground garage for VIP guests. The valet opens the door for us and we step out. North and Silas stand in front of Victor as his guards. Gabe and Kota stand next to him. Luke and I stand behind him with Mr. B and Doc standing behind us. A young woman comes up to us and introduces herself as Jade. She says she is our hostess for tonight and to follow her as she will show us to the VIP lounge. Victor apologizes for being late and thanks her for holding the lounge for them. She turns and nods saying alright as she keeps going. Something about her is off and makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. I look back at Mr. B and he tells me he knows and to keep going.

I can tell we are all excited to see her. I could feel the anticipation. Gabe would not stop mumbling about how she better not look a hot mess, or he was revoking her style card. As we rode up in the elevator, you could hear the music and the bass pumping. We got out and she escorted us to the private entrance into the VIP lounge. She said our server will be there soon to get our drinks anything else we needed and to enjoy. If we need anything at all to give her a call. She then handed her card over with a number on it to Victor. He says thanks and takes the card. She bows and leaves the lounge.

"This place is packed and I can't wait to get out there and dance." says Luke

"I just hope they have some good food. I am hungry after working all day without eating." says Sean looking around in the VIP Lounge.

"Looks like its a two-way mirror. We can see out, but they can't see in." says Kota

"Perfect for peace and privacy, yet I can still look out and fell like a part of the club." says Victor

"Where is Baby Girl? I don't know what she has on so I don't know what to look for." grumbles North as he looks out the window.

"She is at the bar according to the text I just received from Alec. He said to stay here. Her two girlfriends are coming to see to us. Apparently, they need to talk to us." states Mr. B.

"Great, just fucking great." states Gabe as he flops down into one of the chairs and I have to agree. I really want to see her. Just then, a guys walks in and says his name is Charles and he is our server for tonight. He asked if we want anything and before we could answer, a female voice says: "Not now Charles. Please come back in 10 minutes. We have some things we need to discuss with them."
