Lost in a sea of self hate,
when will this darkness abate?
Every time she asks someone to stay
they end up leaving her anyway.
She thinks she'll never be good enough,
these stormy waters too rough.
Another thought, "if im a living lie,
why don't i just die?"
No one loves a girl with scars,
no one can fix a heart so marred.
Misery the size of the Pacific,
picking out her flaws, so specific.
Smooth seas never made a skilled sailor;
porcelian heart, every crack replicated to tailor.
But then again,
rough waters drowned the only daughter.
Finding a grave
at the bottom of a deep sea cave,
reading her own name,
a legend full of fame.
Drowned by her own thoughts,
in a net made to catch nightmares she was caught.
Couldn't adjust to the lack of oxygen,
her own blood a pathogen.
So she sings a lonely song,
another person gone.
An eerie, apocalyptic melody,
incredibly deadly.
She drags others down,
her lethality of worldwide renown.
After she realizes what she's done,
she cries over the body of another son.
Stranded on an island of skulls and bones,
when will someone show her the golden tones?
She finally gives up, accepting
locking away her sorrows, suppressing.
