Monotonous Thoughts

As more scars pile up;

Sippin' tea, a hug in a cup

Tug the black sleeves to our fingers,

Hiding the secrets that linger.

Eyeliner makes my blue eyes pop,

Does it hide the tears that drop?

Fall's slowly falling, winter chases;

Making excuses for sharp races.

A small smile directed at the ground

Knowing that I haven't been found.

Getting lost among the clouds,

Or the body of a concert crowd?

As I take in the lyrics of another,

Finding in meaning smothered.

Can we rewind back to a time

When feeling wasn't a crime?

Or must we fast forward?

One knows i've fasted without word.

Can we heal the world?

Fates entwined, like cats curled.

We could die without a mind,

Will forever we ever find?

Im tired of second guessing,

It's not a blessing!

Asked if anything I ever learned,

Yes, if you get close you get burned.

Is it possible to find poetry in a day,

Every single way?

It seems like we've tried;

Well my brain is fried.

Kinda like my motivation;

Sorry, but school's no vacation,

Baby, we can get through.

I've got my ways, and no good true.

I'll walk along, concentrate on shoes,

Better than seeing them say "shoo!"

They're all fools, ignorant & asinine,

Wait, whats the time??

My life still ruled,

But in us the truth is cooled.

We'll sit back and watch,

Just another stereotype torch.

Why do my hands shake?

Faith undone, i wont fake.

Tick tock count the clock;

Days fall like leaves, not a shock.

Half of me filled with hate,

But light was the pathway, the gate.
