Letters To Louis Tomlinson- One Direction Fan Fic

Chapter 42

Stephanie's POV:

The past 4 days have been great. After finding Louis smoking weed in the bathroom, I think that he is genuinely making an effort to stop. I know that what Louis did to me in the past was wrong but that doesn't mean that I can just let him be depressed and do such awful things.

Liam recently told me that they have another break coming up, it is about a week break. So we thought going back to California would be nice. So that is where we currently are, on the plane with another 5 hours ahead of us. The rest of the boys, Brooklyn, and Courtney are also tagging along.

It is nice to have Louis around. Things aren't awkward between us anymore. Well at least I don't think so, I'm not sure how Louis is feeling about it.

--6 hours later--

Well the plane ride is taking longer than I originally thought. But only by an hour or so. When we finally land we all walk to the car and wait to arrive at the hotel where we last stayed. While we are in the car Harry and Courtney start to talk about what they are gonna do when they get to the hotel. By the sounds of it they are planning on going swimming with Louis, Brooklyn, and Niall.

As I continue to listen to their conversation I realize that Liam and I aren't even involved in their plans. Wow what good friends they are huh?

Within about 15 minutes we pull up to the hotel. Before getting out of the car I just sit here and smile at the building because there are memories here, even if those memories are only old by a matter of weeks, it seems as if it all happened ages ago. I can't wait to make more charitable memories on this journey.

After we check in we go our separate ways. I know that I shouldn't be upset about Courtney and Brook making plans without me but I it kind of sucks that they left me out.

As I sit in the hotel room with Liam on the bed he asks me a question, "Hey do you want to go out tonight?" I smile at the thought of going out with Liam alone, "sure". We are both too tired to change so we just grab our phones and room key. I have no idea where Liam is taking me but I can care less, as long as he is with me anywhere we go will be great. About 30 minutes of silence passes  "Do you want to know where I'm taking you?" I nod my head frantically like a little kid "yes."

All he does is keep his eyes on the road. "Look out your window love." When I look out my window I see the Disneyland castle and it's so beautiful. Even more beautiful than the second time. The massive size of this castle right before my eyes always seems to amaze me.

Liam parks the car and helps me out. Then we start to walk into the park. "The only thing that sucks is that there aren't rides to go on because it's so late." I nod my head in agreement, we end up just walking around the shops.

After walking around the shops, Liam takes me to the coffee shop we sat at the last time we visited here. We sit and drink coffee in silence. When I look over at Liam I notice that he seems on edge. But I just ignore it and keep on enjoying our time together.

I turn around and look at the beautiful castle, every time I look at it I think it is a dream, it's just so beautiful. I am pulled out of my thoughts when Liam reaches over the table and rubs my arm.  I turn around and look back at him to smile. It is true that the castle is beautiful and it is a dream come true to see it, but Liam is just as breathtaking.

"I want to show you something." Liam says to me then takes my hands in his, he guides me towards the castle. I wonder what he wants to show me.

Liam's POV:

I take Stephanie's hands in mine and guide her towards the castle. Tonight is the night that I am going to ask Stephanie to be mine for the rest of my life. I am so nervous, but I've never been more ready for anything.

Once we get right in front of the castle I look at Stephanie and smile. "I've been writing something. I'm not done with it yet so don't judge. I was inspired because of you." I am planning on singing 'I Want To Write You A Song'. It's a song I have been working on for a while, I made it for Stephanie and I hope she loves it as much as I do even if it's not finished.

Of course I don't have any instruments but even if I did I wouldn't know how to play it, I only know how to play the piano. I take a deep breath and start to sing the song that will  change my life, for better or for worse.
"I want to write you a song
One as beautiful as you are sweet

For the feeling that I get when you are gone

One that's as soft as your cheek

I wish I had finished the song in time for today but I haven't had much time.

When I look into Stephanie's eyes I can see tears threatening to spill out, but she still had that amazing smile on show. As I look at her all I can think of is how beautiful she is, inside and out.

'Okay Liam it's now or never, you can do this.' Before I know it I start to spill my heart out to the woman I love more than life itself.

"When I first saw those letters that you wrote to Louis I couldn't help but feel jealous or yearn to want those letters to be for me. The passion and love you had put into them was truly breathtaking. I always wanted someone to truly love me for me. And I never thought that I would find that love, that was until I found you. You give me everything. You give me love, happiness and a reason to want to wake up in the morning. The day that I wake up to not see that beautiful face of yours, is the day that I won't have a purpose in life. I loved you the day that I saw those letters, and I love you now. As I'm standing here now I can promise you that I will love you for the rest of my life..."

I start to get down on one knee, as I get down I can see Stephanie's cheeks are moistened with tears. I take out the small black box that held the ring. The ring that will symbolize our love for the rest of our lives. The ring that will show the world that she's mine and nobody else's. The ring that will show I'm the one who gets to love and protect her. Stephanie Marie, Will you marry me and make me the happiest man alive?"

I see Stephanie wipe away her tears away and rub her hands over her face in nervousness. As I wait for her answer I can't help but feel my hands get sweaty and start to shake a little. "Of course Liam. I love you so much." She says while hugging and kissing me.

I then put the beautiful ring on her beautiful finger. This is the best day of my life, Every day that I spend with Stephanie becomes the best day of my life. I love her more than words can explain, she's my one and only.

Stephanie's POV:

When Liam proposes to me I start to cry, cry tears of joy. His speech hits me right in the heart. He is so caring and loving, but I honestly didn't see this coming at all. This is the best surprise I've ever gotten. There is nobody that I would rather spend the rest of my life with. I know that Liam is the one, he has been the one from the start of our journey. Now he will be the one until the end of our journey. I love him with all of my heart and now I know he loves me the same way.

I can't wait to tell Courtney and Brooklyn about this. They will be so happy for me. But I want to just spend the rest of the night with Liam, celebrate everything that just happened, and just be happy to be with each other. I think I'll tell them in the morning.

I look down at my shiny, beautiful, silver, diamond ring that Liam placed on my ring finger one more time. I'm so happy that all of this is happening, before I found Liam my world was crumbling but when I finally found him he picked up the pieces in my crazy life. I think that a part of me always believed he was the one from the start. I don't regret a single thing that has happened over this period of time because everything that happened lead me closer to where I am now with Liam.
