Chapter 9 Plucking Rose

Liz's PoV

"Okay.." Grace was the one to break the silence that had fallen.

"Don't you guys think that this could be sheer coincidence? I mean that design is unique and pretty so...." Grace trailed off.

I sighed in dejection. "I guess you are right. I just.. I thought I was close to knowing about Nana but I guess I should let it be. I will drop you two home. Thanks anyway for your help."

"I am sorry Elizabeth. I wish I could help you but I have no idea regarding the letters. I always check the mail and have never received any such letter." Sienna spoke up.

"Well atleast we found a new friend, I mean we are friends now? Right?" Grace said

"Of course." I said.

Atleast I found friends...

Sienna was still deep in thought. Well I couldn't blame her, I myself was puzzled by today's events.

My phone suddenly buzzed.

Mom was calling. I picked up.

"Hey mom."

"Sweetie where are you? Harold said he went for grocery shopping and came back to find you missing. I called Cassie and even she didn't know your whereabouts. You also weren't picking up your phone! Where are you?" Mom ranted.

Weird.

"Uh mom relax. I am fine. Really. I went to meet a friend of mine and I took the driver with me and I didn't check my phone until now. Sorry to worry you. I am on my way back." I said.

"Okay. Hurry up and come back soon." She rushed out.

"Mom is everything alright?" She was behaving in an unusual way. It was unlikely of her to get so panicky and clingy.

"Yes of course. Call me as soon as you reach home." She said.

"Wait. You are at work?" I was shocked. Mom was a true workaholic and barely called to check up on me.

"Yeah. Talk to you later." She hung up.

Okay something is up.

"Hey Elizabeth, are you okay?" Grace asked.

"Yeah fine." I replied back.

"Okay." Grace mumbled.

Did I do something?

Why is everyone acting so weird today.

Suddenly Sienna turns towards me.

"Wait. Can you tell your grandmother's name again?"

"Umm yeah sure. My Nana's name was Angelica."

Her eyes widened. OK what the hell is happening here?

She took a deep breath and said.."OK. So this might sound weird. Well...not that weird considering today's happenings. So I have been having these dreams where four people kind of do something with their blood. And as far as I remember, one of the four was a lady named Angelica."

What!!?

Sienna's POV

"You can stop with the deer caught in the headlights look now. It's kinda creeping me out."

So I told Elizabeth about her grandmother conjuring my dreams. I admit it's surprising but she need not continue with that look for such a long time.
