Chapter 25 Poison and Love
Nathan's PoV
"Wow. Impressive." I said as I looked around the secret room. It looked like a cave but it was well stocked.
Before I could continue my investigation a shrill scream pierced through the silence.
Natalie...
I left everything and ran out, trying to follow Nat's screams.
"You bastard!!" Nat's screams continued to echo through the house as I rushed past countless barren rooms trying to locate her.
I finally spotted her, in the living room, battling four tall and bulky men.
Without any thought I jumped into the fight and wrenched off two men who were attacking Nat.
"Nate! Watch out!" Nat shouted.
I ducked as something whizzed past my head, missing me by a few inches.
We continued combatting those men as they relentlessly tried to severely wound us.
All my movements were a blur. A kick here. A punch there. Ducking. Kicking. Stabbing with my knife. Trying to shield Nat as much as possible.
We might argue a lot, but during fights we were always together. Having each other's back as the two of us put in all out training and practice to fight off our attackers.
Nat bashed one of the men with a splintered wood she had ripped off the floor.
I ducked as she continued assaulting my attackers as I took over those who were attacking her.
It was a rhythm. Like a clockwork. If you can't kill them, weaken them.
Three left, I punched one in the nose while Nat kicked that man on his shin.
The man howled in pain. Nat hit him on the head with the wood.
"Shut up. Bloody idiot." Nat muttered.
An involuntary smile escaped me at Nat's word.
"Bloody he is." I said and kicked the man on his head for good measure.
One down, two to go.
"Nate..." Natalie said.
"What!?" I asked as I sneaked a hit on the guy's abdomen and ducked before he could land a punch on me.
"Where the freaking hell are those guys that we killed!?" Nat screamed out as her attacker grabbed her throat.
"Natalie!" I yelled and rushed forward to help her.
The man attacking me caught me in a chokehold and pulled me back.
"Aha! Gotcha. You wiggle, my brother their will snap your little sister's neck. Punched me hard this kid!" My attacker said.
I ceased moving.
"See this bro. This is how you snap a twig." My assailant cackled in laughter and his accomplice joined him as Nat writhed in pain.
She was continuously trying to break free from the man's tight grasp. She even scratched his face with her nails.
"Ahh! Bitch! Do that again and my brother their will crush your brother's windpipe." Natalie's attacker threatened her.
She stopped scratching him.
I could see her struggling to breathe.
Nat was turning blue by the second.
