Chapter 34 The Intoxicating Caffeine Effect
Sienna's PoV
Brandon led me to a coffee shop not far from where we bumped a few minutes ago.
I must admit. I was glad that it was Brandon and not some psycho prisoner on the loose I bumped into.
"What does the pretty lady want for breakfast?" Brandon said.
"Umm...coffee?" I offered.
"Coffee is not breakfast. Dear god save me! You know what? Forget I said anything. I will choose for you. Wait here. Don't go anywhere." He ordered.
"Geez chill mom." I mocked. And immediately regretted it. Talking about mom brought back a fresh wave of memories which made the back of my eyes prick with tears.
"Are you alright?" Brandon asked, frowning.
No.
"Never been better!" I chirped, putting up the most real fake smile I could muster.
"Good. Stay here." Saying that he marched off to order.
To be honest, I felt kind of left behind but quickly let go of that thought and observed my surroundings.
Picking a random seat I settled down and waited for Brandon.
Liz was nowhere to be seen and my impatience was growing. Where was she!?
I am desperate to tell Liz about this new piece of Information which can lead us to whatever we are after, well, the main priority for me is Prim. She is what matters most to me right now
And as for the boy about whom the information is, let's just say that he is in great trouble or is going to be. Adrian Dexter, you better be ready for the world's toughest interrogation.
Though it's practically stupid to seek out Adrian all because Mrs. Wakefield suggested a word that resembles his name but I have this weird feeling about it. Anyways I need to get out of Wakefield mansion and back home. Too many weird things going on. It's time I straighten it all out.
I looked around and my gaze stopped at a certain person. He was really really really really good looking. He raked his hands over his jet black hair and was looking outside.
Who was this epitome of perfection looking at? Maybe some girlfri-
I followed his line of sight and
"Liz?" I whispered. It was no doubt Liz, she walked into the cafe and started looking for well I was guessing it was me.
I raised my hand so that she could see me. She noticed me and smiled. She made her way towards my table and took a seat beside me.
"Hey! What's up? What did you find?" She greeted.
"First tell me" I began. "Where the hell were you!?"
"Woah calm down Sienna. I am here now, aren't I? I was treasure hunting. But that's a story for later. First I have to eat. So what is it you need to tell me so urgently?."
I rolled my eyes. "Brandon is ordering for us." I pointed him out to her.
Her eyes widened with what I deciphered to be horror. "Lesson no. 1 about boys," she began in a grave voice. "Don't ever, ever let boys order for you. E. V. E. R." With that she upped and went to Brandon.
