Chapter 35 To See From His Eyes

Sebastian's PoV

"Hey Seb. It's me. Again. For the nth time just tell me you are alive. Though there is no doubt you are. Trust me I won't tell Esther or Vladimir a thing. Things are hectic here. Esther was not very happy with the Guardian and the Chosen both getting involved far too soon. Nate is still nursing his hurt ego and heart. We had a brush up with L. No we didn't see her. She just saved our life so Nate is pissed about it. We are gearing up now. Esther supposedly got some lead. She is going to try some sort of trigger. I have no idea what it is. I am sure you know all about it. Esther misses you. So does Olivia. So do I. Call back. Please." Natalie's voice was replaced by the beeping signalling the voice mail had ended.

She faithfully sent me one everyday.

"Sorry Nat, can't get in touch with you now. Dad is far too close for my liking." I whispered to myself.

I had been sitting in this coffee shop for the past fifteen minutes. Walter was sitting alone though she had entered with a guy. Probably her boyfriend with the way they kept smiling at each other.

Soon the chase will start and petty relationship will be the least of their concern.

So many people to watch over. Staying in shadows is exhausting. I could use help but Nathan, Nat and Olivia, all three are under constant supervision.

I could feel Walter staring at me. Does she know? She can't know right. Nobody knows about my whereabouts. I maintained a nonchalant expression on my face and kept my gaze directed at the door.

Then she stepped in. Flustered but alluring she instantly gathered everyone's attention in the café.

Pretty attention seekers with no brains and average looks don't make it far. It would be pitiful to see her die.

Was it pitiful to see Lyanna die?

Cue the sighs. Her presence always triggers bad thoughts. She approached Walter and sat down and began chattering about something.

Girls. If only they knew what was at stake.

Sipping my black coffee, I continued watching them.

Again not a creepy stalker. Just waiting for the action from Guardian. Our informants were hard at work.

First the kidnapping of Primrose Walter and inducing her with coma.

The club crash to single out potential groups of people and bring together the Chosen.

The attack on Wakefield and Heart was unwanted improvisation of the hired stalkers. They are lamenting it. In prison.

The hospital meeting of the Chosen was a stroke of luck. Dying of our agent and the Guardian was a glitch which could have betrayed my location.

Poor mother didn't even know how dearest father was already setting her plan in motion.

Walter was the first one to lose consciousness. Soon people clad in jeans and baseball caps surrounded their table. To an outsider it would look like a friendly get together.

But I could see. Wakefield punched one of them and passed out. Now that was a nice right hook. Not that I am praising her. The guys paid for the stuff and went out in a tight circle concealing the two girls.
