Chapter 37 Shattering Forces Of My Soul

Liz's PoV

Immense headache and nausea. That's what I was feeling. Slowly I opened my eyes and saw unfamiliar surroundings.

Oh damn! Where the hell am I!? I spotted Sienna sitting and decided to ask her.

"Sienna, where are we?" I asked in a measured tone.

"I wish I knew." She said and fidgeted.

Oh god!

"How long was I out?" I asked.

"A few minutes. Probably." She mumbled.

I looked around. It was a bare room and both Sienna and I were sitting on metallic beds which were freezing.

"I think I found something." Sienna said and looked around.

It's time to think. And think fast.

"Yeah? I did too." I said.

The trip to Nana's stuff wasn't futile. It was time consuming and there were plenty of weird stuff but something did catch my eye.

It was a journal titled Poison and Cure. Out of curiosity I flicked through its pages. None of the poison names I had ever heard of. Lycanipsy, Fey bore, Caster trauma and many more. The one that truly caught my eye was Incubi Spell.

Myth says that it's an old spell created by all the witches at that time together. They all put their worst fears and most painful miseries to concoct a poison which can make a person die a very slow and painful death. They did all this to defeat mankind whose said works of evolution was a constant threat to their existence. But the poison was later stolen and no one knew or knows about it's location.

That was the myth. Logic says either Nana's mind was deteriorating with old age or she was an excellent fantasy writer.

But I didn't dwell upon that. The reason why this particular spell caught my eye was because when I saw the symptoms of a person injected with this poison, it reminded me of someone in particular. It reminded me of Prim, Sienna's sister who was apparently in coma as said by the doctors.

Deep sleep, low blood pressure, probable coma and deep wounds. This poison was killing Prim slowly and I don't want to imagine the pain she was going through.

The only problem was that there was no antidote for this poison. Or at least the book didn't say so. Rather curious thing was that the page where the cure should have been mentioned seemed missing as if signifying that there is no cure. But Nana thought differently if what I read from the scrawled notes in the corner are true. She suspected that there was a cure to the poison and she has given the clue to finding it.

I turned to Sienna with the intention to reveal the information I gathered.

"Sienna I-oh my god! Your eyes!? Sienna? Sienna? Sienna are you ok? Talk to me. Hey! Oh God!"

That is what I was going to tell Sienna before I saw her eyes changing colours. She was looking at me wide eyed trying to tell something. Her eyes weren't the only thing going crazy. What bothered me was the little sparks emanating from her fingertips. Her irises kept changing colour. For one moment it was electric blue and the next it was moonlight silver.

"Sienna...." I started.

"I-I can't. Too much heat." Sienna coughed.

"Heat? Sienna what's going on?" I asked, fear growing inside me.
