Chapter 36 The Unraveling Threads Of Fate

Adrian's PoV

"How much longer Rick?" I asked growing impatient by the minute.

When Rick told me that we were going to have guests, I was confused at first but then was pretty cool with it until he told me who was coming.

Hearing Sienna's name I was happy to know that I would get to meet her again. But when he said 'Liz', that's when my stomach started to flutter and jitters took control of my body.

Why? Don't ask. Even I don't know why I am feeling this way.
There's just something about her which makes me think about her everytime.

Do I like her?

I don't think so. I don't even know her.

One meeting, not even a good one and I am obsessing over her.

See. My mind goes haywire when I think about her. I went from freaking out over meeting to freaking out over liking her.

Seems like there only one thing I am capable of doing in front of her.

Freak out.

"I swear Adrian if you ask me that question one more time, I will forget about all my newfound respect towards you and hang you upside down from a tree. And besides that, how many times should I tell you. I. Don't. Know. Period." He ranted and went back to playing some game he was playing on his phone.

I sighed and went back to what I think I am best at, freaking  out.

The bell rang and I stilled.

They are here.

I was unable to move and Rick noticed this. He rolled his eyes and got up to open the door.

Brandon walked in followed by a girl. She rushed in and lunged at Rick hugging the life out of him.

Girlfriend? I mouthed

Sister. He answered.

I gave him a knowing glance. The girl pulled back,ruffled his hair and went inside where I assume her room was.

"Any luck?" I asked Brandon.

"How does every person on this earth know-" Brandon started.

"That you are in love with my sister. Well, it's not that difficult. Besides your face says it all." Rick said in a bored tone

"My face?" Brandon raised an eyebrow.

"I actually meant to ask any luck finding where they have reached." I mumbled.

"Yeah. Now forget it. Where is Liz and Sienna?" Rick asked.

"They are not here?" He checked his watch." They should  have  been here by now. I gave your address to Liz."

"Well. She is not here, so where is she? Wait did they bail out on us?" Rick was annoyed.

"Umm.... I don't think so. Sienna was pretty much adamant on seeing that one." He pointed his finger at me.

"I have a name you know." I rolled my eyes. But why would Sienna want to see me?"

"Yeah whatever. So what now?" Brandon asked.

"We should look for them." I said. And Brandon nodded in agreement. We both looked at Rick.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Rick complained.

"We need you to guide this operation, Sir" Brandon mock saluted.

"Fine. Let's save the damsels in distress." Rick grumbled.
