I hadn't realised I'd fallen asleep until I fell something along my cheek. Sleepily, I nuzzle into the warm touch and a low murmur comes from in front of me. My eyes snap open and I find myself inches away from Dmitri's face, his bright silver eyes focused intently on mine. I take in deep gasping breaths, shaking the start of the nightmare that I was staring to fall into.

"Something's wrong, you were crying in your sleep." He murmurs, brushing the tears from my face.

I sit up, sniffing as I wipe my face and stand to create some distance between Dmitri and I. The dream was of the same monster wolf but what was more disturbing this time, was the fact that in the dream, I found myself among my parents' dead bodies and the horrible red eyed creature of my nightmare nudging my dead body and howling into the pitch black night.

I felt stuck within the nightmare, unable to wake up and forced to watch a deadly looking creature mourning over my dead body.

"I'm fine, it was just a bad dream." I murmur, crossing my arms as I face the window.

I hear Dmitri stand and approach me but growls when I stiffen up.

"Don't be afraid of me, angel. What was the dream about?" he asks, leaning down and kissing my bare shoulder were my sweater had slipped down.

"My parents' death, my death and a red eyed wolf monster." I rush on a shrug, not wanting to make a big deal out of it.

It was Dmitri's turn to stiffen as a low growl erupts from him; he turns me around sharply and my heart begins to pound at an incredible rate as I glance up at his look of utter rage.

"How many times have you dreamt of this... monster?" Dmitri asks, an unreadable mask suddenly falling over his face.

"Um... three or four times I think. Why?" I blink, feeling his grip tighten on my shoulders.

Dmitri's eyebrows raise in surprise but it quickly turns into once again a black unreadable expression.

"I made sure you'd never have nightmares a long time ago, somebody's messed with the spell."

Dmitri strides out of the room and I follow after him on a slow jog into his office.

"What are you talking about?" I ask as I watch him slam a small notepad on the table and forcefully flick through the pages.

He soon finds what he's looking for and brings his phone out, dialling a number off the notepad.

"Saline, the spell on Cassandra has been broken. Who's powerful enough to do that but you?" Dmitri starts in a rushed but low voice.

"If you haven't broken it then who has?"

This was all very confusing; Dmitri had gotten a witch to put a spell on me so I wouldn't have bad dreams.

Everyone had nightmares.

I march up to him and snatch the phone away from his ear, pressing the end button and setting it on the table.

Dmitri raises his brows in question.

"What are you hiding from me?" I frown, folding my arms.

"The answers to your questions will come in due time, your role right now is to trust me and be Luna of this pack."

That wasn't enough, I felt like Dmitri knew everything about me but I knew nothing of him.

"Couldn't you at least give me something to think about? I feel really left out of the loop here." I press.

Dmitri looks over to me for a long time before letting out a sigh and shoving his hands in his jean pockets.

"The pack I was born into was massacred by rogue vampires and Weres because the rogue wolves didn't agree with the way my father, the Alpha, trained his pack to be resilient to any attack. Unfortunately, we weren't trained enough for the large group of rogues who attacked us by surprise."
