I struggle away from his hold and he lets me go; there is no way The Mad Alpha is my mate, even with all his sexy maleness before me.

"That's not true." I whisper, backing away slowly.

"No? I wouldn't have continuously searched, eliminating anyone trying to stop me from finding you if you weren't mine." Dmitri narrows his eyes on me, making me flinch in terror.

"But... I'm an Omega."

"And this is where your parents fit into all of this." He reaches out and grabs my wrist, pulling me forward and I trip over my feet a little as he takes over my personal space.

He was at least 6"3'.

"When they found out that you belong to me, they ran off and raised you into thinking that you are an Omega. The hope of ever finding a mate ripped away from you."

I watch as he explains, Dmitri's face contorting in rage as he continues.

How could have my parents lied to me my whole life? It was too hard to believe but my wolf couldn't stop repeating the word 'mate' with the innate pull and attraction towards The Mad Alpha.

"I know your wolf is reiterating the emotions you are feeling towards me, angel. You are mine, not an Omega, and I am yours." His features take on a less terrifying look as he catches a lock of my hair between his thumb and forefinger.

If I'm not an Omega then what am I? I felt like I didn't even know myself anymore.

Shaking my head, I back up again, wanting to clear my head. This guy put fear into everyone he nears; stories of him being a ruthless killer didn't come up on their own.

"But... you're a monster." I whisper.

I flinch when Dmitri's grey eyes flash pure silver, his teeth bared as he growls at me. I'd offended him and now I was probably going to get killed for it.

~Stupid!~ my wolf growls along with my mate.

"Is that the kind of Luna my mate is? Basing opinions on enemy's stories of me." He snarls, making me gulp what was probably my last breath.

Why was The Mad Alpha making me feel bad for the things I was saying? It wasn't like he denied my implications.

I also wanted to say that there was no way I'm going to be a Luna, but now was probably a bad time and I don't think there will ever a be a good time to defy this dangerous man.

"P-please... don't kill me." I stutter, my heart pounding in my chest.

My muscles weren't responding to me wanting to run the hell out of his presence or even fight my way out; yet something told me that Dmitri is much stronger and faster than me.

If it was anybody but the Mad Alpha, finding out that I actually had a mate this whole time would be the best birthday gift ever but no; everything was falling apart and my life being turned upside down again.

"I'm not going to kill you; I'm taking you home, angel."

A violent shiver runs through me and Dmitri responds by shrugging his black coat off and swinging it around my shoulders, his biceps bunching at the motion making his close fitting black shirt stretch slightly over his defined toned arms.

He was built like a warrior.

As much as I was enjoying Dmitri's heavenly scent on his heavy coat, I wasn't going anywhere with him.

"My home is here." I say quietly, wrapping his coat tightly around me as if the action would protect me from his anger.

"And have other men rub up on you?" his narrow nose flares as he picks up on Micah's faint scent on me.
