I must have fallen asleep again because I stir when I feel a weight on the bed beside me. I open my eyes and see Dominic staring at me with a small smile. I am extremely groggy as I sit up slowly. I rub my eyes and feel a soreness in my arm, making me look. Dread builds up as I see another puncture mark.
"Dominic..." I whisper and look at him. He must see something in my eyes because his eyes become worried as he looks at me.
"Yes, what's wrong?" I show him the puncture mark and he grabs my arm gently, feeling the puncture. "Syringe?" I shrug and he looks up at me fast. "That explains why you weren't awake when I came yesterday." He comments and I instantly get confused.
"I saw you yesterday. In fact, you stayed until I fell asleep." He furrows his eyebrows and sits up all the way.
"No, that was two days ago..." The pit in my stomach grows larger.
"I slept through two entire days?" I begin to freak.
"He's drugging you when you're sleeping." Dominic mumbles to himself. He gets out of bed and picks me up, opening a passage and stepping through. He steps out into a place I haven't been in a long time, Nathan's apartment. Nathan looks up instantly at us and Etheriel walks out of the kitchen. Dominic puts me down and I quickly have to lean against the wall since I am still extremely tired and can barely stand. Dominic approaches Etheriel quickly and he glances at me then him.
"He is drugging her, making her sleep. She was asleep for two days straight." Dominic gestures back at me and Nathan stands, coming to me. He helps me stand and leads me back to his room. He props me up in his bed and puts the back of his hand on my forehead while staring into my eyes.
"Must have just been a strong sedative. Should wear off in a couple hours." He stares at me with something lurking in his eyes. He looks away and down as he brings a blanket over my lap.
I slowly wrap my arms around Nathan's torso. He pulls away and stares into my eyes before leaning in and possessively kissing me. His hands slowly move to my face and starts backing me up until we hit a wall. My body feels like there is fire coursing through it as he slowly pulls away and starts kissing along my jaw. Something along the lines of a quiet moan escapes my mouth and he picks me up, making me wrap my legs tightly around his waist. I tangle my fingers into his dark hair and pull on it, bringing his lips back to mine. He pulls away again and kisses down my neck to my shoulder while walking us toward his bedroom. In his room, he makes us fall back onto the bed and his lips find mine again. His hands begin to creep up my shirt before pulling away and yanking it over my head then pulling his over his head. His lips are back on mine and it's rough and hot as he starts to unbutton his pants and I unbutton mine and start pulling them down. He pulls away again, standing up and dropping his pants as I quickly take mine off all the way and throw them to the side and so does he before dropping back down on me. Nathan is sucking on my jaw line as someone bangs on his door.
I come back out of the flashback and I blush as I see Nathan staring at me. I look away quickly as my heart skips a beat. What is this? Etheriel looks in the doorway at me. He bites his lip a little before turning away and resuming to talk to Dominic. I sit up, not wanting to fall asleep again since I slept away two days, and set my feet on the ground.
"Where are you going?" Nathan asks as I stand a little wobbly. I yawn, I could be pulled into sleep at any moment. I don't answer his question as I walk out of the room. Etheriel turns to me as I wobble toward him and Dominic. I stop by the kitchen door and lean against the wall. I scan the living room and my gaze lands on a window with a tarp tapped over it. I then remember Aaliyah pushing me off the balcony and then Nathan catching me. His wings. My eyes then land on the piles of books on the ground. I wobble toward the books. Old books bound in leather. I slowly and carefully sit down by the books. I take one of them, barely able to lift it, and open to the middle of the book. It's in a different language, a language similar to the old book I pulled out from Michael's office.
