Ritual

I'm starting to get anxious as I wait for Nathan to finish translating the last book. Mihael will notice eventually that it is missing if we don't figure out a way to return it before hand. To make it worse Dominic is with us, leaning against the wall, completely zoned out. Nathan turns the page of the book.

"What's that book about?" Dominic says sounding far away.

"Some kind of legion about an angel being kicked out of Heaven and the angel trying to get back." Nathan replies and flips another page. On that page there is a list with a few little doodles on it. Nathan leans down, carefully reading the page. He reads a bright sticky note that is stuck to the side of the page next before sitting up straight.

"This is the one." He whispers sounding like he barely believes it. Dominic stands up straight, zoned back it.

"What's it for?" he questions and I lean in to see the list. Returning Ritual is written at the top.

"How an angel can restore their wings and return to Heaven..." Nathan reads further down the short list and stops at one. "The sacrifice of the poisoned offspring of the angel wanting to return." I process what he just said.

"That's Trinity..." I answer slowly.

"It has all the ingredients Dominic told us." Nathan quickly stands and rushes to the tarp covering the broken window he has yet to get fixed. He rips the tarp away and looks up at the sky. "Shit." He mumbles and spins to us. "We have to go and get her now." Nathan grabs my keys to my car and rushes to the door. I quickly follow.

"Why?" Dominic follows after us and down the stairs to my car.

"Because the sacrifice can be preformed tomorrow on the new moon." Nathan rushes as he gets into my car. I also get in right before he takes off, leaving Dominic. When we come to a halt in front of Trinity's house, I see that all the lightly in the house are off and I sense no other angel in the house. I run across the grass and up to the front door where I start pounding on it, just in case she is still here, but I have a gut feeling she isn't. The door lock clicks open from the other side and I almost relax until I see that it was Dominic. I push past him and look around the dead silent house. I am about to go up stairs when Dominic grabs my arm stopping me.

"She's not here." He replies hollowly. I look back at him and his eyes are stone cold. I jerk away from his grip and start looking around for clue on where Mihael took her. I flip on the lights in the kitchen and my whole body goes cold. On the floor is a large kitchen knife like it just fell and close to it is a couple drops of blood. I go and find Nathan before dragging him back to the car. On the way he jerks to a stop with a questioning look.

"We are returning and looking in the book again to see where it says the ritual needs to be held."

Trinity

The side of my head throbs with immense pain as I stir a little from unconsciousness. Without opening my eyes, I can tell that I am in the backseat of a car. I barely open my eyes and look around to see that I am in Michael's car and he is driving. The sun is down and barely any of the moon is showing. I slowly sit up holding the side of my head. I pull my hand away and see that it has a little blood on it. Suddenly, I remember what happened and I sit up straight. Michael notices my movement and glances back at me from the rearview mirror. I immediately slide to the door and try to open it to see it is locked. The trees we are driving past begin to fly by faster as Michael accelerates. He switches lanes suddenly and I bang my head against the window causing my vision to blur and wobble a bit. He reaches back suddenly and before I can process what is in his hand he sticks a needle into my leg and injects me with a clear liquid. I try to fight the pull of darkness, but it becomes too strong and I black out.
