I ended up falling asleep after coming back to the hotel room last night and I sleep must have been more tired than I thought because I wake up to Etheriel shaking me.

"Are you okay? It's past four." I open one eye to see sun shining through the window.

"Four?" I mumble and slowly sit up. Dominic is sitting in a chair across the room with his feet propped up on the coffee table and has an old book in his hand, reading.

"Yeah, I tried to wake you around noon, but you told me to go away so I just let you sleep." Etheriel laughs and tucks a piece of my messy hair behind my ear. I don't remember telling him to go away or him waking me up in general, but I nod as I slip my feet out of bed and onto the rough carpet. I hear Dominic flip a page in his book causing me to glance over at him. The book is very old and worn. The cover use to have writing on it, but has long since worn off. Flora comes through the door and Dominic glances up at her for a split second before back down at his book.

"How did you find us?" Dominic asks monotone, making Flora turn and look at him.

"Nathan told me where to find you guys." She responds and Dominic nods but doesn't actually seem like he is listening. Flora turns toward Etheriel and us, her eyes stopping on me. She narrows her eyes slightly while staring at me.

"Your lifespan has changed." She states and Dominic looks up from his book again, looking at me. Something passes across his dark eyes that might have been related to our conversation last night, but it's gone too quickly. "But I can't see it clearly anymore." She approaches me and when she's standing in front of me she reaches out and places her hand on the side of my face. Dominic shuts his book without bookmarking his page and stands as Flora's hand slides down my face. She carefully pulls my shirt away from my skin and looks at the sigil burned into my skin. Dominic waits with his head slightly tilted and eyes narrowed some.

"You are one sly bastard, Asmodeus, you know that?" She turns to face Dominic.

"Sly, sure. A bastard? That's harsh." Dominic replies and a small smirk forms on his face.

Flora scoffs. "You may have branded her as yours in a way, but she will never truly be yours since she chose Etheriel." The corner of Dominic's smirk falters slightly.

"You should back off, little angel." Dominic's tone changes as does the air around us.

"Or what?" Flora threatens despite their obvious height difference. Etheriel's hand finds mine and he pulls me back slightly.

"You wouldn't be the first angel I killed." Dominic reaches out and puts his thumb on her chin. She stares up at him for all of two seconds before slapping his hand away.

"Asmodeus, it seems you have way to much pent up lust. You're way too easily aggravated and that is dangerous for Trinity." Flora pulls out several hundred dollar bills from nowhere. "Go find a nice one." She holds out the money to Dominic. He shuts his eyes, tilting his head slightly while a slow smile spreads across his face.

"Excuse me?" He questions.

"Go. Have. Sex." Flora says slowly and I am dumbstruck. An angel is telling someone to have sex. Dominic opens his eyes and takes the money. It bursts into purple flames as he lets it fall to the floor.

"I know myself better than you, I'm fine." Dominic brushes off Flora's command and sits back down. He slides his finger across the cover of his book before opening it again and flipping a couple pages before stopping on the page he was on.

"You say that, but do you really have control over yourself?" Flora questions with a hint of hostility.

"Of course, I have complete control." Dominic responds, reading his book calmly.
