The Voice

It's late in the afternoon when we pull into a parking spot of a large hotel. I get out of the car and look up at the tall building in front of me before walking to the back of the car to get my bag.

"I got it." Etheriel says and smiles. I stare up at him. How can he be so kind to me when I suddenly started sleeping with Dominic, his natural enemy? I start thinking about what Nathan mentioned yesterday. Why would I suddenly fall for Dominic? I know nothing about him and what I do know was because the voice in my head told me his real name and brought us to the topic of him. I look around the trunk and at Dominic as he strolls through the see-through glass door. Etheriel shuts the trunk loudly and we walk toward the entrance. I feel like Etheriel wants to say something, but he doesn't as I open the door for him. His eyes linger on me as he walks through the door, I follow behind him. I stare at the back of Etheriel's head as we walk toward the front desk to meet up with Dominic. My eyes slowly drift down his body. What am I doing? I look away and look around at the giant lobby. Dominic comes back over with two paper pouches. He hands one to Etheriel and keeps one for himself. Etheriel pulls out two keycards and then slips them back in the pouch.

"Luckily they had rooms next to each other." Dominic says and walks up to me, wrapping an arm around me and starting to lead me toward the elevators. I catch Etheriel staring at Dominic's arm around me as we walk past.

"Get away from Asmodeus, Trinity. Get away from Etheriel. Leave them all." The voice speaks into my head as the elevator dings. We step onto the elevator and I look up at Dominic as he pushes a button. I then look at Etheriel who is staring down at the floor. He looks up at me and shows a small smile. I look down at my feet and wait for the elevator to stop moving. A ding sounds and the doors begin to open. I follow Dominic, no longer walking beside him, and next to Etheriel. Dominic stops in front of a door and sticks one of the keycards into the electronic reader. He takes it out when the red light turns green. Etheriel walks to the door next to ours, but slightly far down the hall. Dominic opens the door and holds it open for me, grabbing my bag that Etheriel must have left before going to his room. I walk in and everything is grand for a hotel room. When I get further in the room, I see a huge bed and I can't resist jogging and jumping onto it, bouncing slightly. Before I am even able to roll over onto my back, Dominic climbs onto me, pressing me into the bed. His hands are on my sides as he leans down and kisses my neck slightly. He moves some of my hair out of the way as he lightly kisses the back of my neck before going back to the original spot. His hands tightly grip my sides

"Trinity..." he mumbles against my neck.

"Yeah?" I whisper and his hands squeeze my sides slightly.

"I love you." He mumbles barely audible against my neck. I'm not sure what to say, but it doesn't seem like he minds as his warm lips leave my skin. He gets off me and lays down, his head on the pillows. I get off my stomach and into a sitting position, next to him. He stares at me, his eyes scanning every feature of my face.

"So that voice in your head... What other secrets has it been telling you?" He asks and sits up so he is propped up slightly.

"Nothing." Besides to stay away from you. I say the last part in my head. He tilts his head slightly.

"So it just decided to speak up about my name, the one only demons know." A small smile tugs on the corner of his mouth. I slide off the bed and begin to look around the rest of the room.

"And to stay away from you." I say barely audible.

"What?" Dominic says and sits up, putting his feet on the ground.

"The voice told me to stay away from the dangerous demon who turned against him, Asmodeus, you." I repeat loud enough for him to hear and turn to see his reaction while I am talking. I see his hand twitch when I say his name.

"Who turned against him?" Dominic narrows his eyes. "Who the hell is in your head?" he questions and stands.

"I don't know. It's a guy voice." I shrug a little.

"Who did I turn against?" He mumbles to himself and walks slowly to me. "There's all of Hell currently, all my siblings, my father and so many others long ago." He thinks to himself out loud. "But if it's the person who saved you, probably not anyone from Hell since they wouldn't of just returned you to your old house." He tilts his head slightly, staring at me. "That leaves angels who are still able to go back to Heaven." He thinks for a second then rubs is face. "Or their god." He whispers and stares at me.

"God?" I question.

"One of the angels that turned their backs on him and fell to the mortal land then was dragged to Hell to die, but instead became twisted and corrupted into Demons." He laughs. "Who could have turned against him more than us?" He laughs again and it scares me slightly. Why is he laughing? "God is in your head..." he stops laughing and stares at me. He reaches up and plays with a strand of my hair.

"God saved you... and healed you from a fatal wound... plus all those lashes... from Eli." Someone knocks on the hotel room door and stops Dominic from saying anything further as he walks past me toward the door. I follow and when he opens the door Etheriel stands on the other side.

"Just in time Etheriel. God saved Trinity." Dominic says and Etheriel gets a slightly confused look and looks both ways down the hall before coming in.

"What?" He says and looks at me standing five feet from behind Dominic.

"God saved Trinity and is talking into her head." Dominic says and Etheriel glances at him before staring back at me. "God told Trinity my real name, rescued her from the ocean, healed the 'not suppose to heal' stab wound from Mihael, healed the lashes, and placed her into her room at her old house three weeks later." Dominic says everything he thinks 'God' did.

"God? The God that no one has talked to in so long? Why would he save Trinity randomly?" Etheriel questions.

"Maybe to try and stop Mihael from getting back to Heaven." Dominic suggests, leaning against the door. Etheriel seems to process it.

"But it didn't work so to even out what Mihael did, he just removed the wings Trinity couldn't use and she was gone three weeks because he probably kept her in Heaven to advance the healing of her wounds." Etheriel says and starts smiling. "I haven't said this in so long, possibly never, Thank you God!" Etheriel suddenly pulls me into his arms and presses his warm lips against mine. Electricity shoots through my body and he pulls away, smiling down at me. I am frozen in place and Etheriel realizes what he just did, his smile dropping quickly. Etheriel looks over at Dominic and I do too, seeing his face is completely emotionless, but his eyes are shattered. He closes his eyes for a second before opening them, completely calm.

"Watch it. Don't do that again." Dominic sounds slightly threatening and Etheriel cautiously takes a step back, but doesn't apologize.

"So what's God been saying?" Etheriel says quietly and avoids looking at me.

"To stay away from me and my name, my real name." Dominic says, his voice stone cold.

"And to stay away from you and Nathan." I add and Dominic looks at me surprised by this new information.

"All of us?"
