Scott's pov

7 months later

Today I was going to go to the jewelry store. I wanted to let Mitchie know that he meant the world to me. We have been dating for quite some time now and I want him to know how much he means to me. I'm not proposing, not yet at least, but I'm giving him a promise ring. By now, we have told everyone about us being a couple, they all had the same reaction as Kirstie which was great.

I told Kirstie about my plan and she is gonna be coming over later to distract him while I go out.

Three knocks at the door indicated the arrival of Kirstie. I got up from the couch to go answer it since Mitch was so intrigued by the cartoon he was watching. I opened the door to reveal the beautiful girl that is Kirstie. "Hey!" She said excitedly.

"Hey Kirst!" We hugged quickly before she walked into the apartment. We stayed in the kitchen to talk about what was happening. "So in a little I'm gonna step out to head down to the jewelry store. You know what your job is, right?"

"Yes sir!" She said then saluted me like we were in the army.

"Just wait for my text okay."

"Sounds all good to me."

"Thanks so much babe. Love you."

"I know." She said back sassily before flipping her hair and walking towards Mitch. I laughed to myself a bit, that girl is something else. I followed her out into the living room and watched her run and tackle Mitch on the couch. They laughed and sat back up.

They hugged quickly and Kirstie was talking to him about something, I wasn't listening. I zoned out and just watched the beautiful boy talk and laugh until he looked up at me.

"Babe?" He said to me.

I raised my eyebrows and hummed in response.

"You alright?"

"Yeah. Just-"

"Admiring the view?" He was quoting me from a couple months back. He giggled a bit and I rolled my yes before joining them on the couch.

"Don't mock me kid."

"Wanna fight?"

"I'd love to." I grabbed him and started tickling him along his sides, he was laughing like a maniac and it was adorable.

"Stop! Scott!" He said between breaths. "Kirst! Help!" He cried out to Kirstie but when I looked over to her, I realized that she was taking a video of us, probably for snapchat. I finally stopped and Mitch immediately jumped up and changed positions so he was hidden behind Kirstie. "You're so mean!" He yelled at me and I just laughed in return.

We sat and watched cartoons and talked for a while before I decided it was time to leave for the jewelry store. I said my goodbyes to the two on the couch and headed out to my car. I just told Mitch that I was going to visit Alex so he wouldn't get suspicious.

I looked at every single ring in the store, just to make sure I would pick the absolute best one there. "Can I see this one please?" I asked the lady staining behind the glass container.

"Of course." She pulled out the ring and I examined it closely, it was perfect.

"Can I get this engraved?"

"Yes. When do you need it done by?"

"As soon as you can please."

"Will 2 hours work?"
