Mitch's pov

I was very impressed with my job at carving, I thought as Scott and I scrolled through the pictures he took, trying to decide which one he was going to post on all of his social media accounts.

"I think this one is cute." Scott said referring to the one we took with each of us standing on each side of the carving, smiling at each other. That was a hard one to get, we had to prop the camera up on a few rocks and set a timer in order to get a good shot.

"Yeah, me too." He threw on a quick filter and posted it on Instagram first, adding the caption 'My beautiful boyfriend and I waiting to kiss just for the sake of this picture.'

"Geez Scott, the Scömìche shippers are going to explode after you post that."

"Oh, they'll love it."

He posted it and then continued to do the same thing on the rest of his social media accounts because, and I quote his words, "He wants everyone to know how perfect I am." I swear that's one of the cheesiest things he has ever said out loud but I'm not gonna swat away a compliment.

"Scotty I'm cold!" I yelled him from 2 rooms away. I heard the tv turn off and he came into our room and leaned on the door frame.

"Fire?"

"Duh."

I loved camp fires because at our apartment, we couldn't just go outside and start a fire so it was nice when we could go do just that.

We went out back and I sat down on the bench, cuddling under the blanket I brought with me while Scott started the fire. After it was going and there was plenty of wood, the taller man came and sat down beside me, cuddling under the blanket with me. He wrapped his long arms around me and I rested my head against his chest. We sat in front of the fire, watching the clouds pass and the water crash against the rocks until the sun set. After the sun was gone, Scott took my hand in his and stood up, I followed suit. He walked ahead, pulling me along behind him. We walked along the shoreline together, talking about little things, as we usually do.

"Let's jump in." Scott suggested when we stopped walking and sat down on a rock, so we could star gaze.

"Ha! Have you officially gone insane?"

"C'mon Mitchie! It would be fun!"

"No, it would be cold."

"But it would warm up after a few minutes."

"Scott that may be the stupidest thing you have ever suggested. Lay back down and watch the stars with me."

"Buuuuut Miiiiiiiitch!"

When I didn't answer him, he sighed in annoyance.

"Can I borrow your phone?" He asked me. I thought nothing of it and handed it to him. I heard him place it down along with his own phone seconds after. I sat up to see what he was up to. He was sitting up, taking his shirt off. I shook my head and laid back down. Only seconds later, I felt two hands slip under my body and then I was being picked up. I looked up at the tall man picking me up with a smile on his face.

"Scott you wouldn't."

"Mitch, I would."

"SCOTT!" I yelled as I was being thrown off the rock, into the cold lake. I resurfaced and looked up at Scott who was still laughing his ass off. "I hate you!"

A couple moments later, he jumped in, creating a big splash. He looked around until he found me and swam over. "You love me." He leaned in to kiss me but was met with a face full of water instead. I laughed at him and swam away from him. We splashed around for about an hour before we decided to get out.

"I'm cold again." I said to Scott while we were sitting on top of the rock that we were on before our late night swim. He turned to me and told me to lift up my arms. He removed the soaking wet shirt off of my shivering body and took his shirt, that he left on the rock and put it on me. He hugged me tight and watched the stars with me.

Scott picked up his phone to check the time and realized it was time to head back to the cabin. I was very tired so he gave me a piggy- back ride back to the house.

As soon as we got back, we put out the fire and went straight to bed after changing out of our wet clothes.

"Goodnight babe."

"Goodnight, love."
