Secret Santa

You entered the room that was screaming in happiness over the gifts that they've received from their friends.

You sat down beside your own best friend, and gave you an envelope with 'A hundred dollar bills inside' imprinted on it. You smiled at the thought of her actually giving you a gift, but it was a prank. A gallery of memes was inside the envelope, all glued to a piece of neon pink paper.

"Seriously?" you asked, raising your eyebrow at her. She suddenly started laughing. "This is the third not-decent gift you've given me. I hate you."

"Awe, I love you too." She smiled, but it quickly vanished when she looked across the room.

"Should I, Pete? I mean, she might not like it," Patrick hesitated as his best friend sighed in frustration. "I don't want to make a fool of myself."

The older lad patted him on the shoulder for encouragement. "You won't. Trust me, she'll like it."

"You sure?"

"Yes, now go ahead, Romeo!" He pushed his best friend towards the direction of the place wherein you were seated, and Patrick took a deep breath.

"Here goes nothing."

You and your best friend quickly left your seats as soon as you saw the person she wanted you to avoid.

She let go of your wrists and hid inside the janitor's closet. "What the hell?" you asked.

"It's him. It's that small nerdy musical kid again. He's heading towards our way," she retorted, glancing behind her to check if anyone was listening.

"Oh, come on. He's probably not that bad. Let's get inside before the food runs out." You confidently walked inside the room with your best friend following shortly.

A gift that was on your desk, wrapped with a delicate golden wrapper with a white bow on top caught your eye. You quickly walked to your table and looked at the card.

Dear (Y/N),
Merry Christmas! I hope you like the gift inside. I spent all of my allowance on this. It's a worth it, though.

You opened the gift to see a velvet box. You slowly opened it and the shimmer of silver necklace made you gasp in awe.

"See, I told you he wasn't that bad."
