You woke to the sound of your alarm. It was another lifeless day in the city of Chicago with your celebrity boyfriend. Yes, normal. Sleeping with a celebrity was now something you consider as normal.

You stood up and opened the curtains, letting the morning sunshine inside your room. Your boyfriend shuffled a bit on the bed then sat up, looking at you.

"Good morning," he greeted. You greeted him back as his phone rang, disrupting your little moment together. You decided not to eavesdrop on his conversation with whoever was on the other side of the line, so you took a shower in the bathroom that was located in your bedroom.

The sound of the water hitting the floor was overlapped by your boyfriend talking loudly to the person on the phone.

"Okay. Tomorrow night. See you."

You became suspicious and hurried taking a shower. As soon as you finished, you wrapped a towel on yourself and went out of the bathroom.

"Hey, who was that?" you asked. He turned to you and raked his hair using his fingers and took a deep breath.

"A friend." He went to the bathroom and supposed that he was taking a shower, so you took advantage of that and scrolled through his contacts.

An anonymous number was there, and by the look of it, that person was the one Patrick was recently talking to. You wanted to call whoever it was to check if it was a girl he's had fun with, but decided not to, since you wanted to respect his privacy. Nevertheless, it didn't stop you from asking him who it was.

He went out of the bathroom, a towel wrapped over him. "Who's this?"

His blue eyes widened as he saw you holding his phone in your hands. "Give me that," he said, taking the phone from you. "Why did you look through my phone?"

"And who's that person you're talking to?" you sassily asked. His face turned red as if he didn't want to admit anything, which made you more suspicious than you already were. "Come on, admit it."

"I told you, it's just a friend." He turned his phone off, placed it inside his black duffel bag and dressed up.

He left the room without even saying goodbye to you, making you tear up. He never acted this way, especially to you.

You put your clothes on and make-up too and got your car keys, going to your car and driving off to your recording studio. You were a singer in a local band in Chicago, but it wasn't as big as your boyfriend's band, Fall Out Boy.

You couldn't take the thought of Patrick cheating on you off of your head. The both of you've spent nearly 9 years together, and you thought there was nothing going to ruin your relationship.

You weren't paying attention to the road anymore. All that you were focused on was how you knew Patrick was cheating on you.

You didn't realize that a truck was heading towards your car, colliding with your vehicle, causing you to hit your head on the steering wheel. The world around you became all black as the last sound you've ever heard was a scream. Your scream.

All of the memories drenched back to you as if the whole world was just a whole deja vu. Your first date, the day he told you he wanted you as his girlfriend, and almost everything good that happened to the both of you. But never did the thought of him cheating of you crossed your mind.

"I love you, and I just can't stop myself. At this point, I don't even care if you love me back. I just love you," Patrick said, looking at your eyes directly and nowhere else. This moment was one that you've never expected. You've only been dating for a few months and this happened.

The both of you were sitting on a cliff, having your twelfth date. The stars were out, casting an aura on Patrick.

"I love you, too, I guess." The words slipped out of your mouth too quickly, you weren't even sure if what you said was true. You'd have to prove it through your soon-to be relationship, proving that only time could tell.

"Are you serious? You're not joking?" he said as his expression lightened up. His eyes were the happiest emotion you've ever seen-and the thought that you caused it made you smile as well.

"I do."

Those two words didn't only prove to Patrick that you loved him, but also proved to yourself that you loved him as much as he loved you.

The memories started to drown out, and all you could see was black, and the only thing you could hear was a heart rate monitor and someone quietly sobbing.

You coughed out with the little strength you had, sending three nurses to come to your side and monitor you. You opened your eyes, seeing the light of a lightbulb and not the light of Heaven.

"(Y/N)?" someone asked, walking towards you. You turned to where the voice was coming from, and saw a Patrick you least expected to look like. His eyes were red, his clothes were crumpled, and his voice proved that he was crying. "Y-You're alive," he managed to croak out.

He smiled and hugged you, but you didn't respond. You didn't know how to. As you were about to push him away, you noticed that he was holding a ring inside his hand. You already knew what it was, yet thought that it wasn't for you.

A wedding ring.

He pulled away and looked down, smiling.

"What happened?" you inquired as he put the ring back in his pocket, as if he was trying to hide it.

"You got in a car accident, a-and you've been in a comatose for three months."

Your eyes widened at the news. Three months? A comatose?

You started panicking, but he calmed you down. "It's okay, I'm here. I was always in front of you."

You were about to sink into his obvious display of love, but stopped yourself. You knew better. You knew he was cheating on you.

"You're there?" you asked in disbelief, laughing sarcastically. "You aren't. I don't believe you. As far as I assume, you're cheating on me."

"What?" He was confused. He stood properly and held your hand. "I wouldn't."

"Who were you talking to?"

He sighed. "That was Pete's new number. His phone got broken and had to buy a new one, so I was contacting his new number."

"Why?"

"Because," he took a deep breath, "we were planning on how to surprise you for..."

You raised your eyebrow. "For what?"

"I was going to propose to you."

A mixed wave of shock, embarrassment and worry ran through you, making you ashamed of your accusation. That proved everything; he wasn't cheating on you. He was trying to propose to you, but you pushed him away with your theory.

"I'm sorry. I guess you're not going to propose anymore?" You were saddened at this, seeing that your lifelong dream was now impossible.

"No. That doesn't stop me. (Y/F/N)," he kneeled down on one knee as your eyes started to water, "will you marry me?"

"Maybe I do." You shot a smile at him, sending him in a fit of happiness as he inserted the diamond ring on your finger.

Another memory to cherish.
