Chapter Six Part One: Someone Unknown

I open my eyes and notice I feel better. Hm. I stand up and look around I grab a light blue t-shirt and a pair of ripped denim shorts. I hear my mom come up the stairs and she walks in and smiles. "Your looking better but you should stay home today just in case" She looks at me with worry and concern on my face.

"No mom I can't I have a date tonight right after school" I look at her seriously then smile. "I'll be fine I checked my temperature and I'm not sick anymore" I put my books in my bag and pull the straps over my shoulders.

"Who are you going on a date with? Because I'd like to meet him" She looks at me seriously and I nod.

"It's Toby from next door" I smile and walk down stairs with her. I walk into the kitchen and grab a chocolate bar from the cabinet. I look over at my mom and she smiles.

"What? I'm in the chocolate mood" I put a piece in my mouth and put it on the table.

'I've got to go bye I'll be home around 8:30 or 9:00 ok bye" I walk outside and see the sidewalk is finished and I smile. I start walking and I feel someone's arm wrap around my shoulder and I smile.

"Hello Toby" I smile and l look up and see someone completely different. I push his arm away from me and my eyes widen. Who the hell is this guy? "Hello my name isn't Toby but I do know him my name is Nathan I just wanted to meet you-" Nathan stops and looks over at the front door of Toby's house.

Toby steps out and his eyes widen he quickly walks over to me and grabs my hand gripping it tight. "Nathan I didn't know you were visiting Gotland" He looks at him with anger but I can see the fear in his eyes. "Oh yeah I'm sorry I didn't mention it I just decided to stop in and stay for a few weeks" He smiles at him then looks at me and gives me an evil smile.

"Well Lily we should get to school goodbye Nathan" Toby keeps hold of my hand but I stay there like a rock. "It was nice meeting you Nathan I hope to see you again" I hold my hand out and he grabs it smiling he pulls me into a hug and I feel fear overwhelm me and I quickly push away without hesitation.

Toby pulls me away from him and he walks quickly pulling me behind him. "Toby who was that?" I ask trying to keep up with his fast pace. "He's someone who I didn't want you to meet not now at least" He says slowing down.

We get to the school and he let's go of my hand and walks over to his locker which was only about five lockers away.

I grab my books and shut my locker he grabs a hold of my arm and pulls me close to him. "I'm going to sit with you in all the classes we are in together and lunch ok?" He looks at me with his dreamy dark blue eyes which were now burning with fury.

I nod slowly and he smiles. "Don't be afraid I'm trying to control my anger with him" He smiles at me again and let's go of my arm but I quickly grab his. "Will you at least tell me tonight what is going on?" I ask and he pulls me into a hug and let's me go.

"Tonight I will tell you everything ok?" He smiles at me the same smile he had on his face when we met. I nod and walk to my homeroom.

"Hello Mr. Fields" I greet him and set my stuff down while sitting down. "Hold on one second Lily" Mr. Fields puts his finger up he opens the door and let's someone in.

"Hello my name is Nathan Gange (pronounced Gainje the e is silent) I'm new here and the secretary told me this was my homeroom am I correct?" I hear Nathan's voice and my eyes widen. Oh no please don't sit with me. I look over my shoulder and see Nathan smiling at Mr. Fields while shaking his hand he walks over my way and sits behind me.

"Now what did you want to say to me Lily?" I hear Mr. Fields ask and I look away from Nathan then look up to Mr. Fields. "I said hi" I give an innocent smile and look away. The bell rings and everyone leaves except me and Nathan.

I see Toby walk in and he walks a faster pace he sits down with me and grabs my hand. "Why do you keep doing that?" I ask and he smiles. "I'll tell you tonight ok?" His smile disappears and he grips my hand tight.

He said not to be afraid and I wasn't until I noticed Nathan was in my homeroom now I'm terrified I just hope this date goes well tonight.

Toby's P.O.V.

I won't let Nathan hurt her she will know the truth even if I have to take her away from him from this town or even this state I will do it. I am going to protect her from him no matter what it takes.
