Chapter Thirteen Part 1: The Royal Masters and The Planned Ball

I feel Toby rubbing my arm where the cut is and I move. "Does it hurt?" He asks looking at me worried. "No I just don't want this on I don't get why you put this on me" I say starting to pick at it trying to take it off. He grabs my hands and stops me, I roll my eyes. "Lily no matter how much you hate it you have to keep it on until we get home" "why! I don't need it" I snap ripping through the bandage. He grabs me in anger and kisses me as he wraps his arms around mine making sure I can't move he stops. "Calm down" he whispers as he lets go of my arms.

"I'm just scared" I say looking down. "I will protect you I promise" he pulls my head up to look at him and he smiles making me smile back. "Ah" I moan gripping onto my neck in pain as I feel it heating up Toby moves my hand away and his eyes pop open. "What is it?" I ask worried as he pushes me to the side he walks over to the door and pulls it open to see a young man his eyes were bright orange and locked onto me. "Xavier stop it!" Toby shouts blocking his view of me and the pain stops.

"Draigin wants to see you..." He mumbles looking up at him. "And he wants to meet the little bunny" he continues peeking past Toby and onto me he smiles and I give him a quick grin. "Ok let us get ready and we will be there in a little bit" he says calmly and Xavier backs up and Toby closes the door. "Little bunny? I've gone from a white haired freak to a little bunny what the fuck?" I shout throwing my hands up in the air.

"You are a mortal we call you a bunny because of your hair other mortals we call...........well mortals" he walks over to me and holds my hands. "I won't let them hurt you" he says looking at me his bright blue eyes glaring into mine. "What if they hurt you?" I ask worried I won't be able to protect him. "I will be fine just stay near me and don't let anyone take you away" he starts to walk towards the door as I follow I feel worry and fear fill my body.

We walk into a long hallway the walls are lit with candles as we walk through a room a young man stands up and closes all of the shades. We walk through and back into another candle lit hallway as we get close to a large pair of doors Toby stops in his tracks. He looks back at me in worry, I shake my head and hug him. He wraps his arms around my waist and he quickly lets me go and opens the door. As we walk into the large room I see the five seats across the room and I shiver noticing who they are.

"Ah there is our little bunny and her lover..... How may we help you?" The man in the middle seat asks his blonde hair shinned against the very dim light not one single strand getting into his bright green eyes as I look away Toby sighs. "Draigin why do you call us here?" Toby asks and a woman laughs in the back. "Dear Toby you know exactly why you are here" she smiles her pitch black hair blending in the with darkness of the room. "Then why is she here? there is no reason for her to be here" he raises his voice at them angry.

"You know the reason..." A man with red hair mumbles. "What are you going to do?" He asks looking down like he has given up. They are all silent as they smile at him I glare at them fury burning in my eyes. "What are you going to do?" I speak up anger oozing out of my words. "We will plan a royal ceremony for the two of you in the end we will all get what we want" the man in the front speaks up again. "I'm pretty sure you mean you will get what you want" I stare daggers at him and his smile only grows.

"Oh little bunny.." He chuckles and I clench my fists. I walk up to them and notice there is only four, two girls and two boys Toby said there was five I never noticed the empty seat. "I'm also sure you know my name you must be Draigin am I correct?" I ask and he nods. "When do you want us?" I ask and Draigin smiles. "We will need Toby for a little bit longer so for now you will be escorted to another room where you will be fitted into a dress for tonight" he looks behind me and then back at me.

"Please take her to Jasmine for fitting" Draigin says looking behind me as I turn I see Nathan he grabs me and starts to pull me away. I pull away from his tight grip and I run to Toby he wraps his arms around me and looks up at Nathan. "Toby you know this has to happen" Nathan says with with a hint of sorrow in his voice. "It's not going to happen" he barks at Nathan backing away holding me close to him. "I'm sorry but I have to do this" he whispers and sprints over to me with his vampire speed as he picks me up I scream and he runs out the door and into another room.

A girl walks over to me and measures me and makes me try on a dress as I squeeze into it she smiles. "You will look perfect tonight" she says as she starts to untie the the complicated knots that tie my dress together. "What's going to happen at the ball tonight?" I ask and she frowns. "It's a ceremony where they either kill or turn the person who knows about our kind" she says untying the last knot making the dress loose. I hold it up and turn around I look at her and she looks at me with regret. "I shouldn't have told you I'm sorry" she sobs.

"It's ok I'm glad you told me" I smile at her and she continues to cry. "I shouldn't have though" she continues and I grab her shoulders. "It's ok Jasmine it's ok!" I shout and she smiles. "I just hope Jackson will be able to help you before it's too late" she whispers and I my eyes shoot open. "Jackson?" I ask and she nods. "Yeah he is really good with helping mortals with injuries he is looking to be a doctor" she smiles and I smile. Jackson a doctor hey at least it's not Toby's father then we'd definitely get sued.

"So how long will it be until Toby is out?" I ask concerned and she smiles waving her hand. "He'll be out in a few minutes" she smiles and walks out the door. As I shuffle through my bag I grab a pair of pants and a random shirt and put them on. As I start to pull the shirt on I realize who's it is and I frown looking for another shirt to wear. "No this can not be my only clean shirt...." I whisper digging for another shirt. I sigh in failure to find a different clean shirt. I walk over to Toby's bag and find a clean shirt as I look at it I put it back. He will probably need these so I guess I'll have to suffer with this one.

As I look at myself in the mirror I see the same shirt I wore when I was with Nathan I frown at the thought and sit down. The door opens and I see Toby walk in I run up to him and jump into his arms. "Hey there" he smiles at me and I giggle as he lets me down he hugs me and I start to shake. "Where is he?" He asks pulling me away. "Who?" I ask pretending I have no clue what he's talking about. "Lily" he looks at me dead serious and I sigh. "He isn't in here......." I whisper and he lets out an angry sigh.

"Lily don't lie to me" he glares at me and I look away with a smile on my face. "Why do you not trust me?" I ask with anger and frustration shooting out of my eyes. "Because you were with him, you let him kiss you and worst of all he had his hands all over you so yes I have a trust issue but it's with him not you!" Toby shouts and I look down. "I'm leaving I'm going to my mom and I will be grounded forever but it's worth it if I don't have to be near anyone other than the only friend I have and that's Meredith and possibly Mike" I say grabbing my bag and pulling out Toby's clothes.

"You can't leave" he says grabbing me and I push him away. "I'm going to whether it kills me or not I'm leaving, death is a better alternative than the ball tonight" I snap at him and he frowns. "Jasmine told you" he mutters and he hides his face with his hands. As I turn around I feel him grab me from behind and pull me away. "Toby stop!" I shout as his grip gets tighter. "I'm not letting you leave" he growls and I elbow him in the gut and he lets go as I quickly grab my stuff he rips it out of my hands and throws it across the room.

"Toby just leave me alone!!!" I scream at him and he grabs me and sits me on the bed. "You know that's not going to happen!!!" He shouts back at me. As tears fill my eyes I push him away and run to my stuff and he doesn't move from his place. As I start to walk out of the room I stop at a dresser with a oval mirror in the middle. I rip the ring off of my finger and slam it onto the top of the dresser in anger and storm out.

Toby's P.O.V.

I look at the closed door and then to the dresser only to see the ring I bought for Lily and pretended to find in the water. As I walk over to it tears pour out of my eyes I slip the ring into my palm and look at it's beauty. She doesn't know how much she means to me she has no idea what she is going to run into or what she might find because they won't let her leave. I clench my fist in the terrible thought of what the council might do to her if she tries to leave. I don't think she will ever notice how much I love her.....
