Unexpected

Chapter Twenty: Our Wedding of Short Goodbyes

"Lily wake up!" Meredith yells bursting through the door and pulling me away from Toby. "You two are not allowed to see each other until the wedding get out!" She demands and Toby rubs his eyes. "I can't even give her a good morning kiss?" He yawns and I rub my face in exhaustion. "No! Get out!" She shouts and Toby jumps out of bed still shirtless and he zooms to me and slams me to the wall, I giggle as he kisses my neck. "I love you wife" he kisses me sweetly and I smile at him. "I love you too husband" I feel him let go and walk out of the room.

"Here!" She yells tossing me a dress draped in a black cover. "Is this it?" I ask and she nods, I quickly unzip the cover and reveal the beautiful wedding dress my mother had worn the day she was married, Meredith smiles at me and leaves the room. Meredith grins at me with excitement. "Meredith can you zip me up?" I ask and she comes back in and zips my dress up. "Ok now the hair!" She chimes while sitting me down she starts to curl my hair. "I'm starting to get nervous" I look up at her worried and then go back to looking around the walls of Toby's room. "You will be ok here I think I know something that will take your mind off of this" she puts the curler down and lifts up her hands, everything in the room even Toby's bed floats up off the ground and into the air.

"Wow!" I exclaim and she nods. "Yeah now you're not the only one" she smiles at me and puts everything down in it's place. She continues on my hair and within seconds she's done. "Today will be perfect" I smile and stand I walk over to the mirror and pose. "I gotta look good!" I yell playfully and Meredith poses with me.

"Wait what about you and Becca? Aren't you guys gonna be my bridesmaids?" I wonder and she shakes her head. "You leave tonight we can't even give you and Toby a full wedding" she sighs and I pout. "Hey no pouting on your wedding day! Today you go from Lillian Ann James to Lillian Ann Gange" she holds my shoulders and I cover my ears. "Ah blah blah blah I hate my full name!" She rips my hands off of my ears. "Well today it's changing" she laughs and fixes a bobby pin.

"Now quit moving you're going to mess up your beautiful white hair-" she pauses and giggles. "That I for one like" she quotes herself. "I can still see that it is natural" she tears up and I hug her. "Oh I'm gonna miss you" she cries and I start to tear up as well. "I'm gonna miss you too" I sob and I pull away wiping the tears. "Good thing you weren't wearing any make up" she laughs and I laugh with her. "We just gotta put your make up on and get your shoes and we will be ready" she sniffs and starts on my make up.

"Now go wait in the car I need to get the rings and we can go" she finishes my make up and we walk downstairs. "Don't trip" she hands me a box of heels and I slip them on. "Ok let's go" she bolts out the door while I slowly walk behind her. "Hurry up slow poke!"she yells out her window, I skip my way to the passenger seat and buckle myself down. "Hey Lily guess what?" Meredith asks driving down the road. "What?" I question poking my dress and tapping my shoes.

"You're getting married in a few minutes!" She yells in excitement and I smile. "Yeah" I whisper and she turns up the radio. "Don't worry you will be fine!" She waves her arm tapping my shoulder.

I feel my heart count down to explosion as I step out of the car, Meredith opens the door of the fence for me and I nearly faint. The outstanding decor is too much to bare, I feel my knees start to shake and I stand like nothing is wrong. The white walkway leads to Toby and the minister as a guy around my age walks up to me I smile, he bows to me and holds out his arm. "Lily since your father won't be attending I will be the one to give you away" he smiles at me and my eyes widen. "Tyler!" I yell and hug him, I hear Toby chuckle and I grin at him.

"Shall we?" He holds his arm out again and I take it, Meredith sprints to the end of the aisle to take pictures. We walk down, the wedding song flows through the air and into our ears, I look at the tables set up the way Becca had drawn them and everything was white. Tears start to drip from my eyes as I hug Tyler and he places my hands in Toby's, the music stops and the minister opens his book.

"Dearly beloved we are gathered here today to join together two lovely people in holy matrimony" he smiles widely at both of us as I wipe the tears away. "I believe our lovely girls told me that there will be no vows so I will skip to the 'I do's" he smiles and Meredith hands him the rings. The minister hands me a gold ring with a diamond on it and hands Toby a plain gold ring. "Do you Toby take this woman to be your awfully wedded wife and forever hold your peace?" He asks Toby and he nods tears starting to slip. "I do" he cracks. I slide the ring onto his finger and he holds my hands.

"And do you Lily take this man to be your awfully wedded husband and forever hold your peace?" He asks and turns to me and I smile. "I-" Screech! I snap my head to see the fence bordering around the field collapse and a black hummer charges through. I feel Toby pull my hand and shove the ring on I kiss him his arms wrap tightly around me and I gasp. "I can't" I whisper and he pulls me closer. "I know" he kisses me again.

"Lily Ann James!" My father shouts and I look at him. "It's Gange!" I scream and he stomps to me, picks me up and starts to walk away. "Toby!" I shout and he is being held back by Nathan and Tyler, Meredith is crying on Jackson's shoulder and Becca is dashing towards Nathan. "Let me go!" I yell and he throws me into the car. "Is that my wedding dress?" My mom asks looking ts me like I have six extra heads.

"You two are never seeing each other again! You two are not married! And you will be a normal teenager!" My dad barks and I glare at him. "You signed the weaver so yes we are!" I pull out the document from my bra because I knew this would happen. "Remember you signed it for "school"? Yeah we are married!" I fold it back and my dad speeds down the road, and screams onto the highway. "He will never be around you again, you hear me?" My dad growls and I scoff. "So you're going to take the father away from his child? Nice dad this child we be like me" I grin at him and his eyes widen.

"Enough! We will discuss this when we get to Virginia lets just get on the plane and there then we will talk about it!" My mother yells and I sigh. "Ok mom" I straighten the wrinkles on the dress and look out the window.

"Do you need anything?" The blonde flight attendant asks and I shake my head. "No thank you" I say sweetly and she walks to the next row. I open People magazine and look at the fake people who everyone think is real. "You moving against your will?" A man asks and I look up to see Jonathan smiling down at me. "I'm in the two seat with you" he sits next to me and I shut the shade. "What are you doing here?" I ask and he buckles himself down.

"Until Toby can see you he had me stay with you" I smile happily and hug him. "I thought I was gonna have to be normal" he chuckles at that and I sigh with relief. "You need to be careful Lily the council is after you and that unborn child it only makes it worse that your father is back in your life" he warns me and I nod. "Toby said he told you something about "training" the night you were attacked by Nathan?" He asks and I nod attentively.

"Well this is when it starts it will get harder as you progress with the child in your stomach but we will manage" he stares at me with his beautiful eyes and I sigh again this time in defeat. "Hey he will visit you I promise" he rubs my shoulder and I smile weakly. "Virginia here we come" I whisper and he smiles dimming the lights and leaning back in his chair. "I love you Toby" I whisper and I drift off to sleep.

Toby's P.O.V.

"I love you Toby" Lily's whisper echoes in my head as I roll over on my stomach I feel emptiness reach my body. "I love you too Lily I'll come get you soon I promise" I mutter and close my eyes.
