Unexpected

Chapter Fourteen: Reborn

"Jackson get the water...." "Helen go help Meredith..." Their voices fade in and out echoing in my head. "Jonathan don't let Toby or Nathan get in here you know what they will do" Meredith demands. What the hell is happening?

I open my mouth to breath but water splashes into my mouth. Swishing around in my mouth I quickly gulp the cold water down and take a big gasp of air. "Lily!" Helen shouts as I start to cough I feel a cold hand touch my neck pushing on the top. "She's okay but we still need to have blood transferred" Jackson quickly let go and ran to edge of the room.

"What do you mean?" Meredith asks with worry. "She's lost too much blood we need to hurry before she loses anymore" Jackson runs back to the bed I'm laying in and sticks a needle in my arm. I moan in pain and Meredith strokes my hair. "It's going to be okay Lily...........shhh we'll get you through this" Meredith whispers in a calming voice.

"Where....where's Toby and Nathan?" I wonder trying to breathe as much as I can. "They can't be in here right now" she says as I open my eyes I see Meredith looking down at me, her eyes widen with glee. "Why?" I ask again and she sighs bending down to my level. "They turned right after they bit you, almost kept going but Jackson and I pulled them away before they could do anymore damage" she looks at me and I smile.

"Thank you" I whisper and she runs her hand through my hair one more time and sits in a chair. "So other than the catastrophe of me being bitten did you have fun?" I look up at her and she smiles. "Yeah I did" she nods and leans in. "Jackson kissed me" she blushes and I hit her playfully. "What!?" I grin as she laughs someone knocks on the door.

"Come in" Meredith chimed standing up. A tall man walks in his hood halfway on his head his robes looks like the members robes. "May I help you?" Meredith asks her voice turning cold. "I'd like to see her" his voice was dark but I could hear sorrow drowning in his voice. "What's your business?" She demands and he smiles. "I'm her father" he walks over to me and I glare at him with burning eyes.

He sits on the bed. "Hey Lil" he whispers as he reaches up to touch me and I smack his hand away. "Don't" I mummer and he frowns. "Your mother is outside she's still trying to collect the facts of my existence and I won't blame you for hating me" he pulls the hood off revealing his white hair.

"You left us" I mutter under my breath as he stands up THUMP! "Arghhhh!" "Let me go! She's in danger!" Toby shouts banging onto the door across the room. "Toby!?" I shout I jump out of the bed and Meredith holds me back covering my mouth. "Stop!" Meredith yell as I rip her hand off of my mouth and rip the IV out of my arm I run to the door. "Toby?" I scream and he hits the door. "Lily I'm here baby I'm here don't worry" he whispers his voice shaking in fear.

I grab the handles of the door and push them. Nothing. I pull them using all of my strength and it doesn't budge. I back up and kick it, it busts open and I see Toby looking at me his eyes wide open he runs up to me and picks me up. Spinning me around I wrap my arms around his neck and kiss him, his tongue ties around mine and I feel his grip tighten around my waist.

"You get away from my daughter this instant!" My dad shouts as Toby lets me down his pulls his lips away from mine. "Did you hear me?!" He shouts again stepping closer. "Dad leave him alone!" I yell and he slaps me I fall to floor from the strength of his backhand. "You don't touch her!" Toby screams and dad steps up to him his face turning red. "You don't tell me how to raise my daughter" he growls and Toby laughs.

"You're too late she's already old enough to be on her own" he mutters and smoke started to blow out of my dad's ears. I slowly stand up and look at my dad rubbing my cheek Toby wraps his arm around me and pulls me closer to him. "Lily get out of here" my dad barks and I shake my head.
