Prologue: Chaos Control

Sonic's Pov.

I heard a loud *BOOM* in the distance, and ran towards it. I stopped in front of a town being attacked by a many, large robots. The only one who could possibly do this is Eggman.
"Sonic!" I looked behind me as I saw the X-Tornado, Tails's airplane, fly over my head. I saw Amy and Tails inside it.
"Here Sonic! Catch!" Tails threw a ring at me.
I jumped up and caught it. I felt a slight increase in power as I used my spin attack.
"Now Egghead's gonna go down!"
I spin-dashed across town, taking out every robot in sight, until I stopped when I heard a familiar evil laugh.
"Oh ho ho ho ho ho ho!" I stopped in front of a much larger robot than the rest, with Eggman inside.
"Now you're going down, you pesky little rodent!" Eggman shouted as his robot tried to hit me, but missed.
"How many times do I got to tell you Eggman," I said, smirking, "I'm a hedgehog!" and then tried to spin-dash on the robot, but was knocked back. I stood up, confused.
"Don't even bother!" Eggman started, "This robot is powered by all 7 chaos emeralds."
"Yeah, well it doesn't scare me!" I ran around it, creating a strong breeze, making the robot swing from side to side. I was, then, grabbed by the robot and flung into the air.
"Destroy Sonic!" Eggman yelled as the robot fist was about connect with me. Not a moment too late, I saw a familiar echidna stop the robot in its tracks.
"Knuckles!" I exclaimed.
"You can thank me later." Knuckles replied before going back to punching the robot. I sped around the robot, hoping to find a weak spot. Once I found one, I spin-dashed onto it, causing the robot to be pushed back and shaken over.
Because of the robot being hit, all the chaos emeralds flew out of the machine. I leaped toward them and grabbed them, holding the above my head.
"Oh... no..." Eggman said, terrified, as I smirked.
"CHAOS CONTROL!!!" I yelled and the whole area became surrounded by a bright ball of light.
