Y/N's Pov.
*RING!!!!*
The bell had just run, meaning that school was finally over. I got up and stretched, knowing that the torture had ended for the day. I got up and left the classroom and headed towards my locker to collect my notebooks. Luckily for me, it was a Friday, meaning I could relax for the next two days. I sighed in relief as I opened my locker to grab my notebooks, until I heard a sound behind me.
"Hi Y/N!" I tensed up for a moment before calming down, knowing who it was.
"F/N (friend's name), don't startle me like that. I could've had a heart attack."
"Sorry, but just came to find you so we could walk home together like usual!"
I rolled my eyes at F/N's silly behavior before closing my locker and heading off. F/N caught up behind me soon enough and we started our daily walk back home. I didn't live that far from the school, but it was far enough that I normally walked 20 minutes there and back. F/N lived about 15 minutes from the school, but it was on the same route as mine.
"How much homework do you have?" F/N asked.
"I have a paper to write for History, but it shouldn't take me too long."
"Great! That mean we can hang out this weekend!"
"Yep."
After having a good, long chat, we finally reached F/N's home. She waved goodbye to me, as I did to her, before off on my own. It was all good and normal, just like the other days, except about 2 minutes in, I saw a bright light coming from the sky. It was like another Sun, shining so brightly I couldn't see. After about 10 seconds, it disappeared, like it was never there to begin with. I was perplexed.
"What just happened?" I pondered.
I was snapped out of my thoughts when something hard hit my head. I cried out in pain and looked to see what hit me. It was a gem, a big blue gem. It looked kind of like an emerald, except not green like they were suppose to be. It was, also, really shiny, almost as if it was glowing. I picked it up and observed it. It sure looked pretty. I decided to put it in my backpack to keep for now. But still... I wondered what that light was all about. Now that I think about it, it looked as if something or someone was in the light. Must've been just my imagination...
