Trapped Beyond Reach

Y/N's Pov.

I woke up to find myself trapped inside some kind of cylindrical glass cage. Man, was my head dizzy. The last thing I remember was... that hedgehog! I tried to break free from the cage, but the glass was very strong. I sighed, feeling hopeless.
"Oh ho ho ho ho ho ho ho!" I heard a familiar voice cackle and a really fat figure walk into the room.
"Eggman..." I growled.
"Oh!" Eggman noticed me, "I see that our prisoner's awake."
"Let me out of here!" I exclaimed, banging on the glass.
"Oops, sorry but I can't here you through the soundproof glass." Eggman taunted.
"Grrr...."
"I bet you're wondering who brought you here and why?" I nodded since I wouldn't hear me yell.
"Say hello to the one and only, Shadow the Hedgehog." The black hedgehog from before walked into the room.
"You..." I gritted my teeth.
"Shadow is the ultimate life form, created by my grandfather as a creature to cause destruction! He's been asleep for fifty years, but I have now awakened him."
"Yes. And I shall serve you whenever you need me to, master." Shadow bowed down to Eggman.
"He's a real knockout, don't you think?" I looked up to see a bat sitting on my cage.
"Ah, Rouge, you're back early. So, what did you see?"
"You're plan is working Doctor. Sonic and his friends are on their way here." I gasped. Sonic? Wait... it's a trap and I'm the bait!
"You probably already guessed, but you're the bait for me to catch Sonic." Eggman said, cackling, before he left the room. I hid my head in my knees in shame.
"Don't look so glum," I heard the bat, Rouge, say, "Once Eggman captures that hedgehog, you'll be free to go on your merry way."
"What are you going to do with him?" I asked worried. I knew that she could hear me since bats have very strong hearing.
"Probably eliminate him or use him for something. I don't know, I'm never in on any of his plans."
"Please, let me out! I have to warn him about-!"
"There's no need for that." I heard Shadow say. But I thought that he couldn't hear me through the glass. As if he read my mind, he pointed to his ears and I saw some kind of chip in them, probably to hear through the soundproof glass.
"I already told that faker of Eggman's plans." I sighed in relief, until I thought for a moment.
"Why would you do that?" I questioned.
"Regardless of whether he knows or not, he's still coming here to try and rescue you, meaning that he'll still fall into the trap." Shadow smirked.
"What exactly is Eggman planning?" I asked, fear heard in my voice.
"You'll find out soon enough. Come on Rouge." Shadow finished before he and Rouge left me in the room alone.
I was scared, and not just for myself, but for my new friends too. What was going to happen to them if they were caught? I just hoped that no one would get hurt. I felt a small tear going down my face, but I wiped it away. I had to stay strong for as long as I can!
"Sonic... please be careful..." I whispered.
