Y/N's Pov.

"So how did you get the emerald?" Tails asked.
"I don't know. It kind of just... fell on my head."
"Some luck." Knuckles said.
"Well this giant glowing sphere was right above my neighborhood, wait..." I thought for a moment, "Was it you guys who made that glowing sphere?"
"Tell that to Mr. Spiky-head over there." he pointed to Sonic.
"Hey! I was just trying to help!" Sonic retorted.
"By using Chaos Control to send us to another world." Knuckles added.
"Don't get mad at Sonic, Knuckles, or you'll have to answer to me!" Amy huffed as she brought in some tea.
"Hmph."
"If you don't mind me asking, what happened before you came here?" I asked, taking a sip of tea.
"Eggman had gotten all the chaos emeralds and used them to power his robot." Sonic started. I knew that name anywhere. Eggman was Sonic's arch nemesis. I didn't want to interrupt, so I let him continue.
"We managed to get the emeralds away from him, so I thought that I would be able to use the emeralds using Chaos Control, but something went wrong and we got sent here."
"Oh." was all I could say. I mean, it was a lot to take in for me. Wait, if Sonic and his friends are here, does that mean Eggman's here too. I hoped not, for everyone's sake.
"Don't worry, Y/N. If Eggman got sent here, Sonic will beat him up again." Amy said, dreamily.
"I just hope that nobody gets hurt." I responded.
"No need to worry!" I heard Sonic say, "All we got to do is get all the Chaos Emeralds again, and you already found one so that makes it easier."
"You're right!" Tails added, "That means that we only need 6 more to collect."
"We should start right away." Knuckles said, "The sooner we get the emeralds, the sooner we can go home."
"Relax Knuckles, we're here, so we might as well enjoy this place."
"But we haven't got time to sit and relax!" Knuckles replied, angrily.
"Time..." I looked down at my watch, "OMG!!"
"What's wrong?" Sonic questioned.
"I need to get going home or else my parents are gonna kill me!" I stood up quickly and walked towards the door.
"At least let me take you home. We're pretty far away from your house after all." Sonic suggested.
I was going to say "yes," until I remembered the way I was carried. I blushed at the thought, but shook it away. But I couldn't really get home since we were practically in the middle of nowhere.
"Um... sure..." I answered.
"Alright! See ya guys, I'll be back in a few seconds!" Sonic yelled to his friends.
"Bye!" Amy and Tails replied, while Knuckles didn't do anything.
When we were outside, Sonic came up behind me and picked me up bridal style again.
"You sure that I'm not too heavy for you?" I tried to convince Sonic, covering my blush.
"Not a problem for me!" he replied before taking off.

*time skip to when you get home*

Sonic stopped in front of my house and put me down.
"Well, we're here." I said.
"Yep." Sonic replied, "Um... Y/N?"
"Hm?" I looked at him.
"You want me to come and pick you up tomorrow?" I didn't know if it was true, but I could've sworn that I saw Sonic's face turn pink for a moment. Was I seeing things?
"Tomorrow?"
"Well, yeah. I mean, you're going to help us look for the Chaos Emeralds too, right?"
I pondered. Why did Sonic want me to help them? I really didn't want to question it since this was the chance of a lifetime.
"Yeah. Of course I will!"
"Great! Then I'll be back here tomorrow. Bye!" he stated before speeding off.
"See ya!" I yelled at him.
I knocked on the door and waited for an answer. My mom opened it a second later, and as soon as she saw me, her expression became somewhat angry and concerned.
"Where have you been?! We've been worried sick about you!"
"Sorry Mom, I just... lost track of time."
"Come on in then. I bet you're hungry."
"Yeah." I looked behind me to where Sonic ran off, "I am." before walking inside.
