In Search For the Emeralds: Part 1

Y/N's Pov.

*time skip to next morning*

I woke up the next morning well rested, since I needed my strength if I was going to help Sonic collect all the Chaos Emeralds again. I, literally, jumped out of bed and got changed quickly. I ran to the kitchen, giving a quick "hello" to my parents before grabbing a muffin and running out the door. This left my parents slightly confused, but they must've thought that I was just going for a morning walk or something. I ended up heading to the park, where I was suppose to meet Sonic, only this time it was filled with people. I sat down near a tree and finished eating my muffin. I felt something hit my head, so I looked up and saw Sonic sitting in the tree. He pointed to a grove of trees at the edge of the park before practically vanishing. I headed over there and hid behind a tree. Sonic appeared next to me a second later.
"I guess meeting at the park this morning wasn't such a good idea." Sonic laughed.
"Yeah, probably not." I laughed with him.
"Anyways, ready to go?"
"Yeah I-" I was cut off by Sonic picking me up and speeding away.

*time skip to Sonic's house*

"Well... that happened fast." I said.
"Well 'fast' is my middle name?" Sonic gloated.
"I thought your middle name was 'the.'" I teased. (*cough* Sonic Boom reference *cough*)
"Very funny." Sonic rolled his eyes and put me down.
I was going to knock on the door, but Sonic stopped me and pointed to behind the house. Confused, I followed him and saw Tails fixing up an airplane.
"The X-Tornado should be ready soon, Sonic." Tails said until he saw me, "Good morning, Y/N!"
"Hello. Cool plane you got." I replied, observing the flying aircraft.
"Pretty cool, right! I built it myself."
"I am very impressed."
"Sonic, you're back!" Amy ran over to Sonic and gave him her "signature-Amy" hug. Sonic face was practically saying "please help me!" I giggled at Sonic's reaction, getting Amy's attention.
"Oh, hi Y/N!"
"Morning Amy." I replied, still chuckling at Sonic's face.
"Amy, please let go." Sonic said.
"Ok, Sonikku, but only because I like you!" I chuckled at the name Amy's nickname for Sonic. Sonic's face, now red, was indicating "I will get you back for that, Y/N."
"Hey, where's Knuckles?" I wondered.
"He went to find the emeralds by himself." Tails answered.
"Isn't that sort of dangerous?"
"Knuckles likes doing things his way, dangerous or not." Amy said.
"Oh, alright then. Let's go find those find those Chaos Emeralds!" I announced.
"Yeah!" Amy stated, jumping in the X-Tornado after Tails. I had some trouble getting in, since I've never been inside an airplane before, but then I felt someone giving me a boost. When on the airplane, I looked down and saw Sonic giving me a thumbs up.
"There you go!" Sonic winked.
"Thanks."
When we were all in the airplane (besides Sonic who wanted to stay on the outside), we took off to find the emeralds, unaware that a certain "egg" was following us.
