Sonic's Pov. (bet you weren't expecting this)
Sitting on the outside of the X-Tornado felt much better than on the inside. Feeling the breeze in the air made me feel as free as a bird, or a hedgehog in my case. I, then, remembered Y/N's reaction when I was glomped by Amy. I was SO going to get Y/N back for not helping out with Amy, and I knew just how I was going to do it.
"Sonic," Tails's voice snapped me out of my thoughts, "Keep a watch for any Chaos Emeralds."
"Roger that, buddy!" Now, I tried to keep my focus was on the area around me instead of 0n Y/N, bbbbbuuuutttt.... I wasn't having much luck with that. I looked over to Y/N sitting in the plane. She was looking down below towards the ground and smiling. She seemed to be enjoying herself a lot. From the looks of it, it's as if she's never been on an adventure like this before.
"I'm getting a reading!" Tails said, "There should be a Chaos Emerald somewhere around here. I'm going to land here."
We landed in a clearing of a forest. Y/N got out of the airplane first and ran out into the field. Tails and Amy went to look around for the emerald while I stayed to keep an eye on Y/N.
"I've never been this far away from my home before." she said.
"Really?" I asked.
"No. At least, not by myself I haven't."
"But you're here with us, isn't that right?"
"I know, but..." I could see a gleam in Y/N's E/C (eye color) eyes that clearly showed her excitement.
"Don't worry. I know what you mean." I smiled.
"Hey guys!" We both turned around as we saw Tails and Amy running towards us.
"Look what we found!" Tails held out a large red emerald.
"Great, now we have two of them."
"And now you have none." a familiar voice stated.
Suddenly, two giant claws came out and grabbed the two emeralds that Tails was holding.
"Oh ho ho ho ho ho ho ho!" I turned around and saw Eggman inside a giant robot.
"Eggman!" We all yelled.
"Nice to see you again, Sonic" Eggman started, "Hope you don't mind if I borrow these for a while."
"For your information Eggman, I do mind!" I then jumped towards his robot. Then, another claw came and knocked me back to the ground.
"Not so fast this time, are you Sonic?" Eggman teased. I noticed Tails and Amy get in the X-Tornado and started attacking Eggman from the sky. Y/N just stood there in shock and fear. It wasn't long until Eggman noticed her, though.
"Oh! I see you have a new friend Sonic! And this means that I have a new prisoner." Then, one of Eggman's robot's claws grabbed Y/N.
"Let me go!" Y/N tried to break free from the machine's grasp, but to no avail. Seeing Y/N in Eggman's clutches got me really, and I mean REALLY, angry! I spin-dashed on Eggman's robot, causing it to break and making Y/N fall to the ground. Luckily, I caught her just in time.
"Thanks, Sonic." Y/N said.
"No problemo!" I responded.
"Um... Sonic?" I don't know if it was just me, but it appeared that Y/N was blushing slightly.
"Yeah?"
"You know that you can put me down now." she replied.
I wasn't until a few seconds later that I realized I was holding her bridal style for a while. Blushing too, I quickly put her down, mumbling "sorry."
"This isn't the end Sonic! Thanks for the emerald! Oh ho ho ho ho!" I didn't even notice, but the emerald that Y/N found was on the ground.
I went over and picked it up. Tails had landed the airplane by now. We quickly got back into it before flying off back to our house.
*time skip to back at Sonic's house*
Once we landed the airplane, it was already starting to get dark, meaning that it was time for me to take Y/N home. I picked her up again, without letting her say a word, and took off. When we got back, I dropped Y/N off at the front of her house. I put her down and started to walk away.
"Wait a minute!" I heard Y/N call out. I stopped as she approached me.
"Thanks for saving me, Sonic." she gave me quick peck on my cheek, causing me to blush like a madman, or... madhog (idk).
"Yeah, your welcome." I replied before quickly speeding off so that Y/N wouldn't see my blush.
I looked back at Y/N right before she entered her house. She looked back at me too and waved goodbye before entering her house. I waved back before running off again.
