Author's Note:
I am moving writings from my other Random Rambles book here in an attempt to tidy up my works. It feels too cluttered (especially with many of my unpublished and unfinished books).
Nontheless, I hope you enjoy reading!

Wanted You More
Inspiration: The song 'Wanted You More' by Lady Antebellum.
-
"How could you be so unreasonable!"
"Oh, I'm unreasonable now? What about you? You haven't been a hypocrite your entire life?"
She collapsed onto the floor and crashed into the coldness of her embrace. Hot tears ran down her cheeks like river water gushing out of broken dams.
Mustering all her remaining energy, she muttered a sharp whisper: "Leave."
"Fine!" He threw his hands up into the air in anger. "I won't see you again. That's a promise."
And with that, he left the apartment, without taking anything with him, and slammed the door behind him.
She stayed in her fragile stance; afraid if she had moved the slightest bit she would crack. As silent as her tears were, her heart screamed in agony at the fresh pierce he had left as a parting gift.
Her mind raced, her thoughts hoarding in like bullet-trains on tracks - she loved him. She had thought he did too, until a powerful whack from reality made her realize that it was only a one-sided relationship. He was her first love, she had invested far more than she actually had... Only to know that her feelings weren't mutual at the very end.
Old memories resurfaced; feelings of regret cloud her mind. Old feelings empower her negative emotions; like double-edged daggers stabbing at a slab of meat. It was as if she could feel the blood from her heart bleed out; this would have been something she had hoped for, if it could break the jar of hurt she has bottled up in her heart.
"Aw, don't cry baby. I'm here." Her memory played out.
The familiar feeling of him receiving her into his warm embrace was felt on her skin - she hissed in response, anger starting to cloak her conscience and logic.
She grabbed a vase, and threw it across the room. It broke into dangerous shards.
Like her heart.
She grabbed a lamp, and slammed the accessory to the ground. It broke into dangerous jagged pieces.
Like her feelings.
She grabbed a picture frame - not just any frame, the one that had a picture of them both together. She held it up high in the air, prepared to break yet another piece of the house - the house that they were still sharing thirty minutes ago.
But she couldn't do it.
She had loved him too much. She couldn't forget their memories. She couldn't bring herself to believe that he had left, just like that, after an argument.
She loved him too much.
