Friends or more? Still, I can't tell apart.
One trip was all it took for the feelings to kick-start.
Running alongside you on life's course,
Joy would fill me - if I could only put it on pause.

A kind gentleman, you are,
Caring, clever, and at times, hysterically bizarre.
'Kay mate, you've driven me silly,
Ever since you draped your jacket around me.

Ten years - we've known each other for a decade;
God, I pray that our amazing relationship will not end in façades.
Unwillingly I must admit - since I am too young to be a wife -
You might just be the one I've been waiting for my whole life.

*****
For you, I'd gladly leave my heart on my sleeve;
Just promise me that you'll never leave.
