'A.M.'

It's 8 in the morning
A toothbrush and a tap keeps me company
Your face, taints the mirror's reflecting
My morning hair gone unruly

It's 2 in the afternoon
A spoon and a bowl keeps me company
Your taste, poisons the broth too soon
My pale lips gone frowny

It's 6 in the evening
A radio and a book keeps me company
Your voice, louder than the silent reading
My rounded nose gone runny

It's 10 in the night
A sky and a tree keeps me company
Your touch, its absence is my skin's blight
My empty palms gone clammy

It's 3 in the morning
A blanket and a pillow keeps me company
Your name, in my mind it rings
My brown eyes gone blurry

It was the 13th of July
A jacket and a stranger kept me company
Your grin, welcoming and charming, I won't deny
My small smile came shortly subtly
