I fall asleep with Pacifica's arms around me. We laid next to each other talking after we got bored of truth or dare. But we both got tired, and now Pacifica sleeps silently so I guess I should do the same.
Black. But then I begin to see scenery - but it goes my fast. I'm running. But I'm nearly out of breath. Dipper is with me, but he's slowing to a stop. I realize what's happening - we're running from the gnome monster! So I have to face this again? Dipper and I begin to argue with the creature stomping close.
Am I just reliving this nightmare as an actual nightmare?
I know that we're saved anyway, but that's the part bugs me. The whole what-the-hell-the-world-is-flashing-black-and-white-and-the-scary-red-monster-made-of-gnomes-just-crumbled-to-the-ground part. How did it happen? Why?
On cue, the scene is converted to black, white, and gray. But something different is happening - time is slowing down. A few birds flying by slow to a stop. The gnomes falling to the ground freeze in air, as if in a picture.
"What?" I ask aloud."This never happened..."
"Hahaha, well it's happening now!" A loud echoey voice cackles cheerfully.
  "What? Who said that?"
Out of nowhere, a glowing yellow triangle with a black top hat and bow tie and one eye, including attached arms and legs appears."Oh, Gravity Falls it is good to be back! Name's Bill Cipher!"
"Okay, okay... there's a weird, talking, well dressed triangle speaking to me... its just a dream though, right?"
"Oh, c'mon, Mabel, you should know me!" With a snap of his fingers, the journal appears in his hand. He points to the page with the mysterious wheel on it.
"So it's you! What do you want?"
"I wanted to show you that I'm on your side. You know, when you actually lived this moment, the world turned black and white, causing the monster to scatter, therefore saving your life, yes?"
  "Um, yeah, I guess."
  "That was me."
"That was you? You saved me? Why? Aren't you supposed to be a bad guy?"
He cackles."Me? A bad guy? That's hilarious! Why would you think that?"
"It says so right in the journal."
  "I see..." he mutters.
I don't think I should trust Bill. I pinch myself. Wake up, Mabel, wake up!
"So you're going to trust some stupid journal your brother found in the woods? This could all be lies! Maybe the author of the journals is a bad guy. Maybe you shouldn't trust him."
I narrow my eyes and furrow my brows."Whatever. And why should I believe you?"
"Because I know everything. Everything. And what does the author know? Is this his only knowledge? A two hundred page book? If I wrote out my knowledge, it'd be a book as big as your universe!"
  "Sure, whatever you say, pal."
"You may not listen to me now, shooting star, but you'll wait and see!"
  "Shooting star?"
"Oh, by the way, when you wake up you might find a little something on your hand." He vanishes.
I wake up, sweating, and peer down at my hand.
There's an imprint of a triangle on my right palm.
