Sunday: 11:30 am
Taylor's POV
"Mommy, daddy!" Oliver runs down the stairs.
"Olly, be careful!" She says, picking him up before he falls off the last step.
"Mommy, there's a stranger upstairs!" My eyes widen.
"What are you talking about?" She says.
"I was in the game room with Mackenzie and then a woman came in through the window."
"Where is Mackenzie?" I ask.
"She's still up there."
"Oh my gosh! Ariana, where's Sean?" I run up the stairs and into the game room.
"Mackenzie, where are you?" I run through all the games and arcade machines.
"Taylor, help me!" Her voice is coming from the game closet.
"Mackenzie, are you-"
"Where is she?" Sean comes upstairs with Ariana behind him.
I point to the closet and he moves me out of the way. Tears run down my cheek and Ariana hugs me.
"Let her go!" Sean yells.
"Mackenzie!" A woman is holding a gun to her head.
"Hello there." She says.
"Someone help me!" She tries to get out of her grip but the woman holds her back.
"Taylor!" She reaches out for me.
"Mackenzie!" I try to get out of Ariana's grip but she doesn't let go.
She's way stronger than me.
"Taylor, you can't help her. She has a gun."
"Drop the gun!" Police come in with guns pointed at the woman.
"No, she's my baby! They took her from me and I want her back." The woman stands up, still pointing the gun at Mackenzie.
"Drop the gun and hand over the child!"
"Never! She's my child." Then it all starts to click.
This woman is Mackenzie's real mom.
"Mommy?"
"Yes, honey. I'm your real mommy."
"No!" Mackenzie says, finally getting out if her grip.
"What?"
"You're not my mommy. You don't want me. You left me when I was tiny and this my family now!" Mackenzie lifts her arms up and I pick her up, squeezing her tightly.
"Drop the gun!" The police come closer and take the gun, then escort her away.
"I'll be back for you honey!" She yells before leaving the house in handcuffs.
"Mackenzie, you are so brave. I'm never leaving any of you alone without me, Taylor, or Sean."
"Daddy, what happened?" Jordan says as Sean picks her up.
"Nothing you need to know about." He says.
"Mommy, can we watch Dora?" Kaylee grabs the remote and turns on Dora, not waiting for an answer.
We spend the rest of the day watching Dora, Spongebob, and Frozen.
