The Burial

Thursday: 9:30 am

Taylor's POV

My alarm goes off and I wake up. We're going to Florida today for Coco's burial. Yes, Ariana wanted to have a huge burial for her dog. Don't judge her. The burial is tomorrow at 10:30 am.

It's kind of like a funeral but just the end part. Some random person dug a whole in the backyard and that's where she's going to be buried. She even wanted us to dress nicely which is why I'm wearing a black dress and heels.

I grab my bag and go downstairs where Ariana is laying on the couch.

"Ari, are you ok?" I sit on the couch next to her and she sits up.

"No." Her tear stained face is so different from the smiling face I saw yesterday.

"Ariana, it's ok. I know you love Coco but she's in a better place now."

"I know but she was my first dog and I love her so much. I just can't believe she's gone." She collapses on the couch, bawling her eyes out.

"Ari, it's ok. Please don't cry." I rub her back but she keeps crying.

"I'm sorry, I can't help it." She gets up off the couch and leaves the living room.

I get up and follow her to a room in the basement I never knew existed. She opens the door with a key and walks in, leaving the door open. I look inside the room and see 7 doors marked with the names of her dogs. She slips into Coco's room and I look inside.

In the room is a bunch of pictures of Coco, most with Ariana but some alone. She sits on the floor and begins crying again. I decide to leave her alone and go into Kimi's room. There's a bunch of pictures with all of us and Kimi and a blanket with Kimi's face on it.

I leave the room and go back upstairs. So Ariana and Sean have secret rooms that no one knows about. Upstairs, Jordan and the twins are jumping on the couch, their bags on the floor.

"Ready to go to Florida?"

"Yes! I've never been there before." Jordan says.

I don't remember if the twins have been but I think they have.

"It's a cool place. Please behave, though."

Jordan sits on the couch and digs her iPad mini out of her backpack. I go up more stairs and bring Mackenzie and Oliver's bags down. Karmani comes down with her bags followed by Kenzie and Olly.

"Hi." She says quietly, looking at the ground.

"Hey. Are you ok?"

"Yep." She lifts her head up and smiles.

Sean comes down the stairs holding Jaidon and his bag.

"Where's Ari?" He says.

I shake my head while the kids look at me curiously.

"Oh yeah, I forgot. She's still packing her bags." He says quickly, going back upstairs to get Jaidon's bag.

"I wanna see mommy." Kaylee says, getting off the couch followed by Alyson and Jordan.

"Woah, woah, woah." I stop them all.

"What?"

"You can't go up there. Mommy will be down soon."

They look curious but go back on the couch to watch something on Jordan's iPad mini.

Sean comes back down with Jaidon's bag and places it on the couch. After putting Jaidon in the baby swing, he grabs my arm and pulls me to the kitchen.
