Coma

KAZUMA'S POV

Mercy has been in a coma for a couple of weeks now. I've been visiting every day and I also became friends with that nurse. She's really nice. Right now I'm sitting in the chair beside Mercy. The nurse put a thermometer in her mouth and checked her blood pressure and all that stuff. She picked up a shot off the table and looked at me. Then continued what she was doing.

"What is that?" I asked pointing at the shot.

"It's nutrition that you usually get from food but since she isn't eating we give her this." She put the shot back on the table and took the thermometer out of Mercy's mouth and looked at it. She scribbled something down and moved on. There was a board on the opposite wall from me. It said goals at the top. The nurse picked up a marker and wrote down wake up. She has been writing that everyday now and then erasing it again at night. It was in the morning so she had all day to wake up. The nurse sat down in another chair beside me.

"So...." She said.

"What?" I looked at her and she bit her lip.

"Um after she wakes up are you going to tell her you like her?" She asked.

"I don't know maybe"

"Oh... I see" She stood up and walked back over to Mercy. She admired her then walked out. Later the doctor came in while writing something. This wasn't her usual doctor though. He sat down his clipboard and looked at Mercy. His eyes widened and he went to the doorway. Another doctor stopped.

"Are you sure this is my patient?" He asked the doctor.

"Yes" the other one said and kept walking. The doctor came back in the room. The board has 3 spaces. The spaces say nurse, doctor, and nutrition. The nurses space said her name and wake up. The nutrition space said on hold/shots. In the doctors space he wrote Dr.Davis for the name spot. He put down the marker and walked over to Mercy. She was still sleeping peacefully. He listened to her heart first. Then he lifted up her shirt and went back to his clip board. He looked at one would at a time then he pointed at each wound. He set his clipboard down on top of her and walked over to the board. Now he wrote 6 gun shot wounds/ 2 stab wounds. He walked back to her and scribbled something on his clipboard. He set it to the side. He started feeling her stomach and I tensed up. He pressed down carefully on a wound and she whimpered slightly in pain. I balled up my fists. I wanted to hit him so bad. Then he layed his head down on her stomach and put his hand on her lower stomach. He lifted his head up and he took his hand off of her. Then he placed his hand on her chest. Does he even know I'm here? I grit teeth as he push down which made her whimper more in pain.

"Hey your hurting her!!!" I yelled at him. He looked at me surprised then chuckled. His hand was still in her chest and he smirked. He checked his watch and wrote down more things. He wrote two times on the board and put her shirt back down. He winked at me and left. I hate that guy. It's a good thing she's in a coma.
