The Rebéls Intrusion

MERCY'S POV
We've been here for 7 months now and it's been a pleasant visit so far. It's night time and I'm reading Celeste a bed time story she picked out.

"The end" I finished and put the book down.

"Again" She squealed.

"Not now silly it's time for bed" I said and kissed her forehead.

"Awww" She poured and gave me a hug.

"Goodnight" I said standing in the doorway.

"Goodnight" She said and rolled over. Her back was facing me. I shut the door and He'll boy came up to me.

"Mercy the rebéls are here" He yelled.

"What?" I asked. Jake ran up behind him.

"They want to speak with you" He said.

"Red watch her. You know what they want" I instructed and he nodded. "Bring me to them Jake" I said and followed him. I saw an attractive blonde and two guys with brown hair.

"What can I do for you gentleman?" I asked.

"You know what we want" The blonde said and winked. I glared.

"I'm sorry but you seem to be-"

"Don't play dumb princess we know you have her. We need both of you for this and you know that" He said.

"You won't get to her" I said raising my voice.

"What if we already have?" He smirked and I froze. I heard a scream and my mouth dropped open. I saw one of the guys fly down begging them holding an unconscious Celeste

"What did you do to her? You know you need her awake and active for this?" I said crossing my arms.

"I know it's going to wear off now that we're on the ground here" The guy carrying her said.

"Now all we need is you" Blondie said and started to come forward towards me. Jake stepped in front of me.

"Over my dead body" He said and created a sword out of fire.

"That can be arranged" Blondie said pulling out a long knife.

"Stop" I yelled and glared at both of them. Celeste woke up.

"Mercy" She shouted and the guy put her down but still held her arms.

"Bring her forward" Blondie said.

"It'll all be fine" I said to her trying to remain calm.

"Oh really?" Blondie said and the guy pushed her forwards. Then Blondie held his sword. It pierced right through her. He pulled it out and she fell. I dropped to my knees with eyes wide.

"How could you" One of the guys shot me in the neck with something. I put my hand up to my neck and pulled it out. A shot dart?

"We know your weak princess" Blondie said.

JAKE'S POV
"So?" Mercy said and smirked. Her skin set on fire and she got up and walked towards him. She looked in his eyes. Then she covered her ears and an ear shattering sound sliced through the air. I fell to my knees and covered my ears. A blinding light flashed and I passed out. I opened my eyes and saw Mercy hovering above me.

"I'm sorry" She said quietly. She looked down and touched my chest. A blast of ice frosted my lungs and heart. It started freezing me from the inside out. I grabbed her wrist and pushed her arm away. I took in a deep breath. She stared at me and all you could see was hurt in her eyes.

"I'm sorry but you can't control it. Put your hand on the ground" I said. She did so and the whole ground froze. She quickly retracted her hand and it thawed immediately.

"I-I" She stuttered.

"Shhh" I said and pulled her close to my chest. Kazuma has been here this whole time watching everything. "It's fine" I said trying to calm her down. She nodded and set her head on my chest. She lifted her head I wiped away her tears. She kissed me and I tightened my grip on her.

"When's the wedding?" She asked out of no where.

"W-what?" That was so sudden.

"Um next month" I said.

"Can we make it at the end of this month?" She asked.

"Um sure why do you ask now?"

"I love you and I can't wait any longer" She said and kissed me.

"Then we won't" I said.

"Thank you" She said and smiled. I smiled back. We're getting married in two weeks.
