I Think It's Time

KAZUMA'S POV

I felt a little vibration. I reached into my pocket and I pulled out my phone. I looked at the screen and it read Ayono's name on the screen. I looked at Mercy. Her head was on my shoulder and her hand was on my chest. Nope. There's no way of answering this without waking her up. I took in a deep breath and let out a sigh. I looked at her again. She was sleeping peacefully. I looked at the phone and answered it after on more thought of reconsideration.

"What?" I whisper-yelled into the phone.

"I wanna talk to you today" She said.

"Do I have to?" I asked.

"Yes" She yelled. Her voice was full of annoyance.

"Why?" I asked.

"Because I wanna talk about...Mercy" She said I could sense her glare through the phone.

"Oh why didn't you just say that?" I said.

"Oh my god Kazuma you'd do anything if it involves her wouldn't you?" She said. Her voice dripped with sarcasm. I could hear her face palm herself.

"yep" I said with a smirk.

"Oh and spend the day with her which you probably already do"

"Why?"

"You ask to many questions"

"But-" She cut me off.

"Don't question me and do it" I rolled my eyes.

"Is that all?"

"Yes. We'll meet at 7" She said and hung up. I turned my phone off and set it on the table beside the bed. I looked back at down. I saw huge blue eyes looking at me as if searching my soul.

"How long have you been up?" I asked.

"when you were in the middle of your conversation" She said blankly not chowing any signs of emotion.

"What did you hear?"

"Not much" She looked away.

"Are you lying to me?" I asked not buying what she said.

"No" She said.

"Are you sad?" I Asked letting go of it.

"What! Why?"

"I'm Just wondering"

"No" she said. I didn't say anything more and looked away.

"who were you talking to?" She asked after a moment of silence.

"Ayono" I said casually.

"Why" Her voiced raised slightly but it was still noticeable. I noticed she had backed away.

"Because she called me" I said.

"Why? What were you talking about?" She asked. her eyes were full of concern.

"You" I said finally looking at her for conformation of her feelings. She had turned over onto her side with her back facing me. I sighed. Why? I turned on my back and stared at the ceiling. My eyes must have started to get droopy because it was slowly getting dark. I felt something light glide across my skin as light as a feather. I opened my eyes slowly to reveal a pair of glowing pink eyes that seemed to put my in a trance. She was outlining all my facial features with the tip of her finger. It lightly brushed across its surface as she traced it. The light rays hit her perfectly. She was on top of me with one arm on my chest keeping her balance. I put one hand on her waist and the other I brushed a stray hair out of her face and gently tucked it behind her ear. The sun light made her glow and made her even more irresistible. When our lips met I took my hand off her cheek and put my arms around her waist causing her to moved closer against me. I slowly sat up until my head was leaning on the head rest. She put her arms around my neck drawing me closer and making me squeeze her tighter. I could feel her heart beating fast as if it was my own. I truly love her. My thoughts were racing in my I head and I couldn't think clearly. I opened my eyes and found they were staring at me. Has she been doing that the whole time? I pulled away and looked at her. Then the time. It was 6:59. How long have we been doing this? How long have I been asleep. Time stopped and I was blinded by a white light.

"Kazuma remember what I said. She influences you and forces you to do things against your will when her eyes are all one color." Cupid said.

"I know but-" She cut me off.

"No Kazuma it is very dangerous. Were you dizzy or couldn't think clearly?" She asked.

"Yes" I said quietly.

"Do you know how long it was?" She said.

"No"

"It was an hour and since your not a normal human you can hold your breath for about that long" She explained.

"An hour!"

"Yes then you got dizzy because she started to literally suck the life out of you" I was shocked at what she said.

"She what?"

"She was taking your soul" She frowned and looked down as if she was ashamed at what she was telling me. "That's part of the evil. I'm not the only ne who made her beautiful. Death made her beautiful to seduce her prey. You need to keep her feelings in check especially love and anger. Both can lead to violence. Now I'm afraid you have something to attend." I nod and I'm back to reality. Mercy got up and started to slowly back away from me. I got up and started to walk towards her. she had sadness and fear in her eyes. Her back hit the wall and she put up her hands to distance herself from me. I grabbed her arms and she flinched. I didn't realized how scared and horrified she was. I put my hands on her shoulders but she sat on the ground as if to avoid it. I kneeled down and reached out to comfort her and she slapped my hand away.

"Don't touch me" She said and buried her head in her hands, I lifted her head with my finger and put my hands on the wall one on each side of her head. I brought my face close to hers and kissed her. I grabbed her arms and pulled her up. I wrapped my arms around her and she hugged back.

"Kazuma!!!" I heard Ayono call for me from the other room.

"You need to go before she burns the building down" Mercy said looking at the door.

"It's fine" I said and grabbed her hand. I lead her to the living room. Mercy sat on the couch. Ayono looked mad. Part of the reason I say that is because she's on fire.

"Are you gonna go put on a shirt before you leave" She said and blushed. I went to my room put on a clean shirt and we left.

Time Skip

We arrived at a park overlooking the ocean.

"so what do you need to talk to me about?" I asked.

"I think it's time Kazuma" She said looking at me with a serious face.

"for?" I asked unsure of what she was asking of me.

"Time for you to ask Mercy to be your girlfriend" She said and smirked.

'What?" I was so not expecting that.

"You heard me"

"And why are you asking me to do this?" I asked. "I thought you didn't like the idea of me dating Mercy in the first place?"

"I didn't but now I see that you two are a cut couple and I couldn't see that before because I was blinded by my love for you but all this is clearing up my mind."

"Ok and what's your solution?"

"That I'm always gonna love you Kazuma but your not mine to have. I have realized that you and Mercy were made for each other. I think you should make that next step and ask her to be your girlfriend."

"But why should do that now?" I asked needing clarification.

"Because either way Jake is going to try and steal her but if she's your girlfriend then it will strengthen your bond and make it easier to fight him. You love her right?"

"Yeah"

"And she loves your so why not make it official. At least you don't let her go out of your stupid apartment."

"What? Why?"

"Because then she'd have guys coming after her from everywhere not just Jake" She sighed.

"Ok" I said finally.

"So you will?" She said her eyes getting hopeful.

"Yeah and your right"

"I know" She said. She flipped her long pink hair and left.
