Kidnapped

KAZUMA'S POV

It's been a month since Mercy has been my girlfriend. I love her. She's my whole world and if anything happened to her I don't know what I'd do. I looked over away from my laptop and saw a faint glow come from the bedroom. It as a bright blue light but not like cupids white light but a blue light that was getting bigger and brighter by the minute. More like by the second. I set the laptop down beside me and got up. Right before I got to the door it exploded. I was blown backward by the blast. My back hit the wall and I fell toward the floor. I winced in pain and grabbed my side. Wasn't Mercy in that room? I can't move but I'm desperate. I have to. I dragged myself very slowly towards the door trying my best to avoid any glass or wood on the ground. I failed. I was dragging myself across the floor with one hand on my side and I got a chunk of the glass in my free hand. I yelled in pain and grabbed my hand. Blood streamed down my arm. I was too close to the doorway to stop now. I continued to scoot across the floor. I'm finally close enough to grab the edge of the doorway. I grabbed it and pulled enough so I could see into the room. I saw Mercy lying on the ground not moving. Her hair was out of her ponytail and sprawled across the floor. This sight gave me more motivation to get to her. I slid faster to her and reached her. I sat up and pulled her into my lap. I didn't see a scratch on her. She had one of my T-Shirts on. I felt around for any broken bones or cuts or bruises or anything. I press don on her stomach. She whimpered and I lifted the T-Shirt up. There was a big gash across her stomach. She had a cut on her leg and cheek. I brushed some stray hairs out of her face and pulled her closer to me. I only shed a couple tear when black smoke formed in front of us. Then he appeared.

"Well well how did you get all scratched up You weren't in this?" He smirked.

"Just go away Jake" I spat and tried to slice him with my wind. I sliced his cheek He grabbed his chest and pretended to be shocked. Then he went back to his smirk and the wound healed almost immediately.

"Awww poor Mercy. Oh what happened Kazuma? Did you hurt your girlfriend Kazuma?" He said in a mocking tone. I opened my mouth about to say something when he held up his hand.

"I know you didn't Kazuma I did" He smiled and looked down at Mercy as if admiring his work.

"Well you will soon" He walked forward until he was right in front of us and bent down. He looked at me in the eyes. His red ones pierced my soul and I was forced against my will to let go of my hold on her. He picked her up and they vanished. All the while I couldn't move. I was forced to watch the man that was in love with my girlfriend literally take her from my arms and I couldn't do anything. I called Cupid and told her everything. Next step is to make a plan.

MERCY'S POV

It's dark and I'm alone. I can't see and I have no control or use of my ability. My power is useless. My arms are chained above my head. I only have Kazuma's T-Shirt on. Where is Kazuma? The big metal door opened revealing someone In the doorway. They turned on the light revealing a smirking Jake.

"So I'm sure you know what you owe me" He said blankly and lifted an eyebrow.

"I don't owe you anything" I said. He walked over to me and slapped me with the back of his hand.

"You know that your my fiancé and it will be official once you go with me to the dinner party next month" He said. That over confident son of a bitch.

"I have a boyfriend" I said and tugged at the chains.

"Correction you had a boyfriend" He said correcting me.

"What do you mean had?" I asked a little uneasy

"I killed him" He said blankly.

"I-I don't believe you" I yelled.

"Oh really? See for yourself" He showed me a vision of Kazuma trying to save me and getting slashed in the stomach instead of me. I thought I got stabbed in the stomach?

"I thought..." He lifted up the shirt and I saw nothing but my skin.

"So Mercy..." He said and got down on one knee. He pulled out a black velvet box and opened it revealing a beautiful huge ruby necklace.

"Will you marry me?" He asked and smiled. I felt tears stream down and burn my cheeks. I nodded slowly after considering the outcomes. He stood up and spun me around. I felt the cold necklace against my skin.

"Thank you" He whispered and kissed me. It was a passionate kiss and I could tell he almost loved me as much as Kazuma but not quite. I had to kiss him back. He wasn't the type of person that was easy to get over even after years. I still have some feelings for him. It was only when he kissed those other girls did I run away. It took all my strength to get away from him. We have this connection that no one else not even Kazuma has. Me and Kazuma have a one-way bond. I wouldn't believe he was dead if I didn't see it myself. I love Kazuma and Jake. Jake was make boyfriend for about 500 years. Kazuma has been my boyfriend for less than a year. Jake cheated on me with other girls for publicity in the underworld. All the headlines were Jake Cheats on The Princess Once Again. He cheated on me the last time and I ran away. I ran away from him and my life there. I ran away to the surface. I first stopped by purgatory but I was threatened to be returned to my previous home. I decided to go to Earth and stay with the Kannagi's. Now look where that's got me.

"I'll come back for you tonight" Jake said and left. I still love him. He never really cheated on me but I was still hurt by it.

Time Skip

I've been tugging a these chains for hours. Blood is dripping down my arms. The door screeched open and Jake waltzed in. He shook his head in disappointment. He walked up to me with a guard following him. The guard handed him the sword and he set on fire. I closed my eyes tight and turned my head away. The I fell to my knees. The ground was as cold as ice. The guard left and Jake walked over to me and kneeled down in front of me. He grabbed my shoulders and made me look at him.

"Why did you do that?" He asked. His eyes didn't show any emotions except love and sadness.

"I'm sorry" I said and looked down. He pulled me into a tight hug. I hugged back and smiled. His warmth radiated through my cold body.

"Your freezing" He said with a genuine smile. He leaned forward and kissed my forehead. I miss moments like this. He's a nice person deep down but not around people. He's very admirable and gets respect from everyone. Kazuma doesn't understand truly anything about my life. I told him everything except things about how strong I really am and me and Jake or really anything. Jake stood up and held out his hand. I gladly took it and he led me into a hall way. We aren't in the underworld. I don't know where we are. He led me up carpeted stairs and up to a big dark wooden door. He opened the door. It's beautiful. I walked inside the blood red carpet felt nice against my feet. There was a chandelier in the center of the room. There was a bed with back and red covers. There were two white doors on either side of the fire place. There was a TV above the fire place. There was actually a fire in it to my surprise. I walked over and opened one of the white doors. It was a bathroom with a huge shower. It is amazing. I opened the other door and there was a kitchen. It had a big fridge and granite counters. There was a small glass dining table in front of a window that over looked a gigantic forest. There was also a beach In the distance one way and mountains in the distance the other direction. Wait a second. There's a beach, mountains, and forest? The sky is black and empty but its not dark. There are few houses in this area?

"Jake?" I said. He hummed in response. "Why are we in purgatory?" I asked.

"We're going to stay here until that dinner I told you about" He said. He stood by my side and wrapped his arm around my waist. He pulled me closer to him but still kept his distance. He respects my personal space. I turned to face him. He was looking out into the distance then he looked at me from the corner of his eye but then looked back to looking out the window. I love him. I put my hand on the cheek opposite of me and I turned his face so he had to look at me. He looked into my eyes and didn't dare look anywhere else. I put my hand on the back of his neck and pulled him closer to me. I kissed him. I don't mind being kidnapped by him.
